What is your favorite healthy snack?

I have grown to love almonds and string cheese! My girlfriend Sasha (below) turned me on to them!

When she first asked if I would like some at a rugby game I thought, who in the world eats cheese and nuts? She is also my friend who LOVES celery with cream cheese and peanut butter in her jello. Yes, she does!

Imagine my surprise when I realized that the mixture was heavenly. So good AND filling! It is like cheese goes with almonds the way cheese goes with wine and crackers! :)

So head outside and pick up the things below. And eat it just the way you eat cheese and crackers. Together.

And if you do not like it, well, I just might be getting a weird taste for snacks. If all else fails you can always buy a bag of these. They are delish (as I am sure you all know) and don't upset anything but your waistline.

So I am looking for some healthy snack options. Please share!

  4. I love most types of nuts and you can't go wrong with string cheese! I like 100 calorie packs for portion control but I'm hypoglycemic, so those make my blood sugar drop super fast and then I have to eat more... kind of defeats the purpose of the calorie pack! I've been trying to just eat fruit and lots of salad. I recently discovered I like feta cheese and honey wheat pretzels are AMAZING! If you haven't tried them, do it! I'm also planning on making a "Green Monster" smoothie for the first time tomorrow.

Newlywed: That Light French Onion cheese with Special K Savory Herb crackers sounds delish!

Melissa: Do you like the feta cheese and pretzels together? Or just on their own?

Dana: My mom use to HATE it when i would eat sunflower seeds. I would go through a huge bag in one day and you would see a trail of shells on the floor. They were hell to clean up but so yummy!

  8. I'm a big fan of the string cheese but I tend to overeat on those darn almonds. They are so dang good. I enjoy apples, fruit cocktail, and FF pringles for healthy snack options. Also skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. Pricey but GOOD!!!

Right now, I'm totally on a peach kick. Just... plain ole' peaches. I've been going through like 3 a day though- so I'm not sure how healthy that is. It works out nicely bc. they are on sale for $.39 a lb. right now. Huh?! Nuts! Oh.. and I love nuts too! Oh, oh- and frozen soy beans with a little salt. Mmm, mmm good!
