15 shows to binge on Netflix

Although, I started this year with goals of less Netflix, I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a bit of a whirlwind; and the crazier part is that it has only been 3 months! I've seen a few people jokingly apologize to 2019 for telling it, it was the worst year and that they were just being dramatic and if 2019 could forgive them and take them back. But I digress ...

The new and very dire phrase this year is social distancing so since we're all spending more time at home until things are less up in the air, I figured what better time than now to watch a few shows on Netflix? Hopefully things will be figured out soon since spring is right around the corner but for the time being we might as well get those last indoor activities out of our systems.

The below are a few of my favorite shows on Netflix in no particular order. If there is an asterisk next to it, it's a feel good show (in my opinion) and may just be what you want to watch during this time of social distancing.

The Office *
Scandal
How To Get Away With Murder
Atypical *
Greys Anatomy
Being Mary Jane
Criminal Minds
Wentworth
New Girl *
Call the Midwife
Dear White People
Schitt's Creek *
Stranger Things
Orange is the New Black
Sex Education *

Stay safe, stay home (if possible) and happy watching! ♥

The Walking Dead (no spoilers)

No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
And then some yes because you can't help but love and hate the writers at the same time.

That is all.

Music.

I'm not going to lie.

Some days it is really hard. Harder than I care to admit.
Some days I have to give myself a pep-talk to ensure that I don't go over the edge.
Some days I have to pray just a little bit harder.

I was having one of those days so on went the music because it helps calm my mind. And Sia's "Alive" came on and the words hit me so hard and I pulled myself up and just started dancing all over the house. Arms in the air, waving side to side and body just swaying left to right as no one was watching (except for my fur-babies who I must admit think their human mama has gone absolutely nuts). And when this part of the song reached my ears,

"But I survived

I'm still breathing
I'm still breathing
I'm still breathing
I'm still breathing
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive"

I felt it. I felt it with every part of my being and I belted right along with her and all I could say after the song was over was, Sia, you get me. You really get me. And then I pressed repeat.

I tuned in. But only for Beyonce.

{image found via google images}

I'll be honest and say that I watched the SuperBowl just to see Beyonce. And I seriously was glued to the screen when the countdown began. Talk about a performance and looking fabulous at the same time. I must admit that after watching I practiced my dutty wine, although, it was not as hot. Only because it really looks cool when you have lots of hair to swing on your head.

Ha, excuses, excuses. Even if I had all that hair I still wouldn't have looked that hot.

I really loved that she shared the spotlight with her girls too.

If Beyonce was the reason for the power outage it is only because she is hot, hot, hot. Electricity couldn't deny that.

Now I'm on a mission. To be a hot mama. Without the baby of course ;).

My Favs on American Idol

So this season I am hooked! Hooked, hooked, hooked!

I just love the new judges.

Steven makes me giggle. In an inappropriate way. Something about him is just so naughty.

And Jennifer, she is just sweet. What a sweet diva. She just happens to be absolutely stunning too! She is from the Bronx so I understand how she has all these amazing qualities! ;)

Randy, well, he is nothing new. He is just Randy, the D.A.W.G.

But this season I really tune in just to hear these voices. I just adore them!

My favorites in no particular order:

This is the first time ever that I won't be upset if any of these people win. America get it right and pick one of the above. I mean it.

Are You As Excited As I Am?

Well, you should be!

American Idol starts tonight!

The absolute best part about the beginning is that the hubs will always watch with me. This is when you can't tell between the good and bad singers. I mean sometimes you can but you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

There is always that poor singer, who for some reason no one had the heart to tell them that they should not sing for anyone, ever.

Although, I can't watch a bad audition {meaning I close my eyes or I actually walk away because I feel embarrassed, like the person on the screen is me} the hubs loves to. When I say he loves to, I mean he laughs like someone is tickling him everywhere on his body for a hour.

Because he is laughing so hard, sometimes I giggle. But only because he is laughing so hard. Not because of the poor singer who truly believes in her heart that she is Whitney Houston.

I'm excited to see the chemistry between the new judges too. I was sure I wouldn't watch after Simon left BUT when they told me that Jenny from the Block would be one of the new judges I was like, OK maybe I would give it a chance. And then when they said Steven Tyler, the Steven Tyler from Aerosmith would be the judge, I was like, heck yeah! I'm in!

So for the next few weeks I will be closing my eyes AND ears, possibly giggling and for sure cheering for someone to become the next American Idol! I can't wait!

p.s. It's post like these that make me realize just what a huge dork I am. I hope it never changes.

I have a new addiction.

His name is Dexter.

I started the first season yesterday. I think it is amazing television.

I don't think the hubs found it to be all that good because he slept during the 5 episodes I watched. How dare he?

I hope to watch 3 more episodes before going to bed tonight.

Is anyone else addicted?

I figured I could tell you .....

Because I know you won't judge me and I've been thinking about it for a few days. Besides we're friends now and friends don't judge.

I am not looking forward to Mondays anymore.

Audrina and The Situation are gone.

I knew The Situation had to go; he was genuinely horrible. (I bet you didn't think you could use the words "genuine" and "The Situation" in a sentence. Just proved you wrong! Ha!)

But Audrina was good! She was really good. OK, I get that she might appear plastic but she was really good. If she was given a few more days she would have done some major damage.

I think I am just upset that Briston Palin is still around and my plastic Audrina isn't. Anyone who comes out in a gorilla's suit (I don't care if it wasn't a gorilla) and proceeds to forget their steps deserves to leave. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Ugh. And this is the reason why I can't watch certain shows anymore. I take it personal. Like America purposely voted Bristol to stay to piss me off. Jerks.

I guess, I want Brandy to win now ... or maybe that 16 year old kid. Can't remember his name or the fact that he might not be 16. But I bet you as soon as I start to want them to win they will go home.

I might have to enter another world of lameness and start voting. I didn't want it to come to this but sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands.

I'm in a mood called Random.

I've fallen in love with a show called "Modern Family".

Why didn't anyone tell me what I was missing? OK, a few people did but I never bothered to listen.

It is so, so, so good.

Better than those trashy reality shows I like.

This doesn't mean that I am going to give up Jersey Shore or MTV for that matter.

Hmmm, talking about Jersey Shore ... is there anyone who gets entertained by The Situation on DWTS, as much as I do? When he dances all I can do is stare at his feet. They move so funny, hehe.

Although he should be voted off next week, (I can be honest and say that he is the worst of all the dancers that remain) I hope that the teenage girl population continues to vote for him to stay. I really want him to stay. Goodness, I am lame. I can admit this.

I think Audrina is awesome and can actually take it! I really like her on DWTS. I feel like I just cheated on Lauren Conrad. LC, you are still my BFF.

Back to Modern Family, check it out if you haven't. So, so, so, funny and original! I need to play catch up and be a part of the awesomeness that Modern Family is.

LOST!!!!

The hubs and I are proud crazies of Lost! I mean, we are so proud that we wanted to have a Lost party for the finale & S was going to dress like Sayid. It was going to be great until we realized that the next day we would have to go to work. With sad faces, that plan was quickly thrown out the window.

We are getting geared up! We have food, yummy drinks and Kleenex (for the hubs, of course, hahahaha ;)). There is not even enough words to say that we cannot wait!

I am so ready for all my questions to be answered (i so hope they are) but so sad that the most well written show on television (minus Sex and The City) will be over after today. Hmm, maybe they will move to the big screen like SATC. Don't judge me, I can hope.

I hope some of my followers are also crazy fanatics! Here's to getting our questions answered while we sit at the edge of our couches!

Addicted to Prison Break?

Sean and I went to Target on Saturday to buy a movie. After Friday's activities we just wanted to lay on the couch, eat crap and watch movies. We looked all over for a movie that we would both be interested in but either we had it or one of us didn't want to watch it. I want a romantic comedy and Sean wants scary movies. Ugh, no. Finally, I saw some television shows. 24, Prison Break and Boston Legal. I asked Sean if he would be interested in watching a television show. Sean doesn't do television. If it isn't wrestling, the history channel or South Park, it isn't worth watching. Surprisingly, he picks up Prison Break, reads the back and says, Prison Break it is.

We got home, popped it in and OMG!!!! I am on my toes. This show is so not good for my heart! It is sad when you want to go home because you want to see the next episode. Best part, NO COMMERICALS!! Ok, I must go. Going to watch another episode! :)
