Summer Bucket List: Blow bubbles

When Cinthia and I made our summer bucket list we were quite sure that it would be so easy to accomplish. Only problem is that we did not factor in that summer weekends get booked so quickly and that with us both being working gals it just wasn’t going to be as easy to accomplish. Upon realizing that, we decided to give ourselves until the end of fall to accomplish.

Naturally, Sean and I picked up bubbles (and water guns) for the kids that would attend our annual summer BBQ because I can’t remember anything more delightful than blowing bubbles when I was a kid.

Funny enough, blowing bubbles is on our silly summer bucket list and when it dawned on us, outside to my deck we went to blow bubbles. My sister, Emma (love you!) took pictures of us being silly blowing bubbles.

There is something just so simple but fun about blowing bubbles. It takes me back to a time when life was so carefree and my only true worries were not being able to stay up late, being forced to eat brussel sprouts or having to wake up early to go to school.

When we would blow an abundance of bubbles we couldn’t help the laughter or the feeling of being young. I don’t know the last time you blew bubbles but if you haven’t done it in a while, do it for me. And if you tell me that you did not feel all sorts of giddy, silly and carefree while doing it then something is quite possibly wrong with you. I'm kidding. Maybe. ;)

On the topic of our silly bucket list, I'm happy to report that we crossed three things off our summer bucket list that weekend. Blow bubbles, try a new summery cocktail (a strawberry, basil mojito that Margaret made, DELICIOUS!) and have a barbeque!

In case you're curious, we've also watched an action movie (Wonder Woman), went cherry picking, went to a music festival and tried a new restaurant which I'll blog about eventually. This means that we only have twenty things left on the list, ha!

I hope you all have wonderful weekends and enjoy the last days of summer! ♥

Friday Morning Ramblings.

Sean loves to make ridiculous jokes and often I find myself laughing uncontrollably.
Not because the jokes are actually funny but because they're not funny.

I also think that purple is his color. Now if only I could convince him to wear it more often.

Happy Friday! ♥

San Antonio, Texas

After our boat ride we decided to walk around San Antonio. Here are some pictures I snapped while we continued to sight see.

Then we headed back to the Riverfront for dinner.

While we were on the boat Sean mentioned that he wanted to check out some restaurant called "Last Resort" because the margaritas looked good. I agreed because I like to eat ;). Anyway, we get there and the waitress is sprawled out on the table talking to us. I did not hear a word she said because my mind was completely boggled that she was sprawled out on the table talking to us. We asked for a menu and she told us to look up. Look up? What the hell?! And sure enough on the ceiling was a menu. Sean made a big show of laying flat on his back on the bench that way he could see the menu. When the waitress left I was like, "Is she weird or what?" And he was like, "Yeah, awful service. If I go to a restaurant I would like to be handed a menu not told to look up." I agreed but we were not going to leave because we were seated and just wanted to eat.

Things continued to be a little, ok, VERY weird but once we got our drinks we decided to overlook it. It wasn't until we heard our waitress introduce herself to her other table that we finally get it. She said something along the line of "the theme of the restaurant is providing service with sarcasm". And then it ALL clicked and we started laughing. We were sure we were getting punked or were on Boiling Points or something, lol. In the end we completely enjoyed ourselves because once we realized this it became downright hilarious. We told our waitress and she was like, "OMG, you didn't know?! I told you when you were seated!" I said, "Yeah, we just couldn't believe you were on top of our table taking our order so we didn't bother to listen to your introduction."

Our waitress went as far as to get Sean and I hats. His hat said "I Hope I Get Some Tonight" and my hat said "#Ratchet". So not nice, haha. But we had a great time and if we ever get the chance we will visit a "Dick's (get it?!) Last Resort" again.

He got some but I'm not ratchet. I think.
