When we hit the streets the following morning it was as though the red dresses were never there.
The streets were cleaned as through there wasn’t a massive event the prior day.
We decided to do brunch at Brennan's and had an amazing experience. Our food was ridiculously good.
After brunch we walked to Jackson Square and mainly did sight-seeing during the day. After seeing it in pictures for years, it was incredible to see it in person. It was lively, filled with artists and musicians. We made sure to sit for a while to take in the sights as these artists are so incredibly gifted and it's a wonderful experience to sit, listen and get lost in good music for a little while.
When we were planning our trip, Sean became aware that there’s a Harrah’s casino. And well, when there's a casino Sean must visit. So we had some casino fun in the evening.
The following day we took an UBER to check out the above ground cemeteries and that was such a weird experience. I never in a million years thought that I would be comfortable to tour a cemetery but it was so interesting. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that these bodies were not in the ground but sitting upright in this cemetery. It was quite an experience and never thought I would say it, but I think it's worth a visit if you're ever in New Orleans.
After that we took the trolley down St. Charles Avenue to check out the amazing homes that we heard so much about.
Sadly, I did not take many pictures and I'm not exactly sure why.
The evening of this day was one of my favorite things we did during our trip so I'll share that post soon.

You look so pretty in that gold dress! The above ground cemetery is crazy! How interesting.
ReplyDeleteYou take great pictures; I love the way you look in the black and white and your hair always seems to look good when it's twisted out.
ReplyDeleteYes why didn't you?! I love looking at real estate I can't afford! Just kidding, you were enjoying yourself. Why are they upright instead of in the ground? Is it due to sea level or something?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Faith and you are ADORABLE! I loved all the happy-faced photos of you in this post.
I love that you took pictures of some touristy and some not so touristy stuff.
ReplyDeleteI don't know...I'd still be creeped out by the cemetery. It's the African in me 😃😃
Love your yellow dress!
