.losing weight blows.

Not too long ago I blogged about my goal to get back to my wedding weight. Well, I've been failing. If weight loss was school I would have flunked and already been expelled. I just could not get the scale to move. My issue is not heading to the gym. I wake up at 5:30 am to head to the gym because I am one of those strange people who enjoys working out.

My problem is stuffing my pie hole and not having the strength to say no to yumminess.

Well, I got a bit of a wake up call a few weeks ago when I went shopping with my girlfriend and the only thing I could stomach to buy were some accessories. The reason was because I absolutely hated the way I looked in everything I tried. I am not delusional and do not see a humongous elephant when I stare in the mirror, I just see a person who is not suppose to look this way. I am naturally a small person so having all this added weight on me is not very cool. I have some dresses in my closet that are screaming at me right now because I am not flaunting them this summer.

Two Wednesdays ago, I decided to choose what I ate wisely. For dinners I made salads, brown rice & fish, soup, even bought wheat pasta to go with our meat sauce. I told myself eat well throughout the week and then on Saturday eat whatever you bloody choose. It worked. I managed to loose 6 pounds in two weeks. This is more weight than I have lost in the last 3 months. Pathetic? Nah, kinda exciting. I am a woman on a mission.

  1. 6 lbs in 2 weeks just by watching your food 5 days and doing whatever on weekends sound good. Of course you can do it!! I wish I enjoyed working out like you do. Getting up early in the morn...forget it! I admire folks who can do this.

  2. 6 pounds in two weeks? that's great! my DH is watching his diet and he has lost about 8 pounds! i, on the other hand, am still lazy... motivate me!!!! :)

    frugalista, it wasn't like that in the beginning ... it was once i realized i hate going after work that i figured out that i love working out in the morning.

  7. I understand how you feel, just wanting to look better in your clothes. Congrats on the weight loss! YOu seem to have a great system that is working for you, well done! That salad looks very yummy, I'm going to divert my eyes from that cake :D
