Sean and I prefer to take an evening flight to Vegas. Usually this means that we can sleep on the plane if we choose to, land and feel energized enough to not want to go right to bed. I'll admit that when we have about an hour left of flight time all I want to do is sleep for 8 hours because, well, bedtime. The thing is, as soon as we're landing and I see the Vegas strip and the lights, I get so much adrenaline from my excitement. Suddenly, I'm ready to be out and about for several more hours and bedtime, what bedtime? One time we were awake for 24 entire hours! Crazy, I know, but that's how much we thrive on adrenaline when we're in Vegas.
Although we go to Vegas once to twice a year, we always get excited for the next time. I think it’s partly due to the fact that Sean and I got engaged in Vegas on our first trip to Vegas together. It holds a special place and time for us and whenever anyone asks us anything about Vegas we light up and share everything we know and have learned over the years.
When Cinthia advised that she’d like to go to Vegas with us this year, and that her mom who lives in Puerto Rico also wanted to go we were stoked. We love going to Vegas with friends but haven’t done so in quite some time.
Everything we did on this trip were not firsts for us because it was Cinthia’s and her mom’s first time in Vegas. We had them check out so many of the hotels/casinos on the strip that way they could see how extravagant some of them are. We have our favorite casinos that we visit on our trips but this time we toured as many as we could.
I know I mentioned that after a while multiple trips to Vegas looks just like the last; but since I’ve been recapping Vegas since 2010, I’ll be continuing the "tradition" and will just make mention of what we did versus a true recap.
We had brunch at Chayo on our first full day in Vegas.
Dinner at the Paris Eiffel tower restaurant where Sean surprised me with a happy birthday dessert. After dinner we went to Rockhouse in the Venetian and had so much fun. The band played music from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s and we just danced and sang along to practically every song. It was seriously such a good time. And it’s the reason why we stayed up way later than we intended. It was completely worth it though and ¾ of our group still made it to the Hoover Dam a few hours later.
Sean glued on those eyelashes for me, haha.
Sean convinced us to do a limo ride up and down the strip. I'll admit it was fun but completely unnecessary.
Walking the strip, always.
I love this black and silver damask section at The Cromwell and so did Cinthia and her mom :)
Inside the Bellagio.
The rose petal bathtubs at Tao.
We had dinner at Sushisamba one night and I think that it is way overpriced for the food. It just wasn’t that great or it could have been what I ordered but Sean wasn’t too impressed with his meal either.
Looking at the gondola rides at the Venetian. Sean and I did it on our very first trip to Vegas and haven't done it since.
Every trip to Vegas is not complete without a stop at a Fat Tuesdays.
We went to the Stratosphere for Sean to do his crazy rides. He loves those things. He tried to convince us to do it with him but we advised him that the ground suits us just fine. It just freaks me out.
The view from the Stratsophere.
You couldn't pay me $$$$$ to do this!
Dinner at Tender in the Luxor, just Sean and I, our food and wine was delicious.
We didn’t do any shows and to be honest we haven’t done any shows in the last two years but I think I want to change that for the next time we go. We shall see. Anyway, this completes this Vegas trip, until next time.

I hate rides ... I don't blame you for not getting on that thing. I would just be sitting inside taking photos like you were.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you sleep on the plane? I am completely anxiety ridden anytime I step foot on one... Although, I guess you've traveled WAY more then I ever have.
The rose petal bath looks like heaven. Did you take one? Vegas looks like an amazing place.
We are the same way when we go to Vegas! We always take a night flight here, sleep on the plane, and then get to having fun! I love that you get engaged in Vegas! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
