I had no expectations for 2017 mostly due to fear of disappointment. The last few years have been very difficult on me and my spirit. I was always the optimist and then the last few years stripped that positivity from me. For the first time in the longest time I actually feel positive, I feel hope and I feel safe enough to expect great things. I think what set me apart from the last few years is that I’m OK with knowing that things don’t always pan out or go as planned. It's knowing that regardless of that fact, I am still here surviving, living, smiling, loving and enjoying life. As I’ve been doing since 2012, here’s 2017 in review.
JANUARY
Started the year off with a bang by doing our annual trip to Vegas with Sean’s parents.

What an incredible year you had with Family, Friends and Adventure!!!
ReplyDeleteVery Awesome!
Sometimes no expectations is a good way to be pleasantly surprised. I won't say 2017 was all awesome, it certainly had moments, but it was still a good one. A lot of the not so great moments were my own decisions.
ReplyDeleteIt breaks my heart in a way that I've never been an optimist. Like never. Maybe when I was 5. I'm ALWAYS on my guard. Yes I know "change your thoughts, change your life". It's amazing I always want other people to be happy, or do things to make them happy, but when it comes to myself I just shrug.
It's amazing looking back on your year. I feel like you went to Mexico like a month ago, not in March. Time really does fly. Next time you go to Connecticut I need you to take all the photos ;). Yes, always charge for your work! Your year looked incredible, it's amazing how much you travel. I don't think I've left the states in legit 7-8 years. Here's to another amazing year.
I enjoyed looking at the pictures, and I think I remember each of these posts.
ReplyDeleteWe all grow and change.
Happy new year
I am so happy that you feel more positive and hopeful. You had some amazing things happen in 2017. I loved all your pics from Mexico and the fun memories you created. We both got to go cherry picking for the first time too! It has been a pleasure getting to know you more and I look forward to seeing what 2018 has in store for you! Happy New Year! ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful recap. I love following your journey. I have been able to catch up in the last few months but I'm going to try to do better in '18.
