{Dinner} Swiss Stuffing Chicken

I found this recipe somewhere but I can't remember. When I first starting collecting recipes to try out, I didn't think I was going to be blogging about them so I never thought that I would have to give credit for the recipes. The only credit I can give is to say that this was damn good!

You will need:

4 large skinless boneless chicken breasts {we only used 3 because that is all we had}
6 0z Mozzarella or Swiss cheese slices {we used Mozzarella slices}
1 can of Cream of Chicken soup
1/4 cup white cooking wine
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup herb-flavored crushed up Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix {couldn't find this so I substituted with Stove Top Stuffing Mix and it tasted perfectly fine}
1/2 stick of butter, melted {used 1/4 stick of butter}

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2.) Place uncooked chicken in shallow casserole dish and layer cheese on top

3.) Mix soup, wine, salt, pepper and pour over cheese

4.) Sprinkle stuffing mix on top and drizzle with melted butter

5.) Bake for 1 hour

{Step 4 is where I might have gone wrong. I had to cook the stuffing based on the instructions on the box and I might have put too much stuffing on the top of the chicken. The recipe only called for 1 cup and I paid no attention to that. I used the whole box, haha. It wasn't on purpose, I just didn't follow correctly. But regardless of the error, it came out so good. We will definitely be making this recipe again. Thank you, whomever you are!}

  6. I always get all pissy on myself when I open the recipe posts first thing in the morning. I think I'm a masochist. Either way, for the next eight hours (or if I'm going to be honest, few days) I'll be think"I should get my lazy a to a kitchen and make that chicken thing Faith posted.." But I won't. Because it's hot and my oven hates me and my child.
