Scenes from Thanksgiving 2019

Good Morning y'all! Not surprising that I am late in recapping Thanksgiving but my position remains better late than never. This year was a special Thanksgiving because Sean did not have to work (woohoo!), we hosted Thanksgiving in our home and our precious new niece was present. It wasn't difficult to list all the things we are most thankful for.

The day was certainly a lot of fun. We decided to do things a little differently this year and have Thanksgiving dinner at 2pm. That didn't happen (not surprising), more like 3pm-ish but it was the earliest we've ever eaten and we've decided we always want to do it this way. If we say dinner is at 2pm at least we won't be eating at 6pm, ha.

Alexa was in high demand that day and Sean and I gave her a little vacation after our family left ;). But there was a whole lot of dancing and singing so I'm sure Alexa appreciated how popular she was that day.

This apple cider sangria was a hit and now I'll always make sure that it is present at Thanksgiving dinner.

It was really an incredible day. One of the best days I've had in a while. Funny thing was that it wasn't exactly anything extraordinary. Just that the overall feel of the day was just so good. I won't ever be able to properly put it in words but I ended that day feeling an immense amount of gratefulness and know that I'll never take the people I love most in this world for granted.

Good Morning y'all! So yeah ... I’m a bit late but I’ve recapped Thanksgiving on this blog since 2010 so I can't stop now. The thing is that there’s not much to recap because well, it’s Thanksgiving. What does one do on Thanksgiving? We cooked a ton, we laughed a lot, we played some games, we danced to music, we sang some songs, we gave thanks, we stuffed our faces. Yup, that about sums it up. Not any different from the years before it but I'm documenting it for memory purposes. If there's one thing I really love about my blog is being able to go so many years back and see what life was like.

I didn’t really go crazy with picture taking this year but of course there are food pictures because food will always be my favorite thing to photograph. I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating and surrounded with those you love.

Oh yeah, who else can't believe that it's December? Practically mid December! I feel like I blinked and bam, year over.

Scenes from Thanksgiving 2017

I am so behind on blog posts (over one month) and no matter how hard it seems that I try I can't seem to get up to date. Regardless, I'm going to skip to last weekend as I don't want to be posting about Thanksgiving one to two months after the fact.
I hope that I'll get up to date soon!

I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by. Granted I say that every year but every year it seems to move even quicker than the year before. This Thanksgiving was different as my little sisters were not in attendance this year but it was still so special and I had an amazing time. My little nephew is walking and it was the cutest thing to see him walking about like a little man. And my niece could not stop calling my name as soon she entered my parent’s house. She was so excited to show me her painted nails as soon as she walked through the door and my sister said that she is a mini-me. Major compliment, haha.

With just Emma and me cooking this year it was a lot less chaos in the kitchen which I really liked, just don't tell my two other sisters. We had so much leftovers and I’m still eating food from that day, most likely will be this entire week. I mostly took pictures of the food (oops!) and the two I got with my family are not the greatest (which if I'm to be honest means that I look awful) but since I’ve been doing a Thanksgiving recap since I started the blog I’ll share the pictures I did take.

We saw a beautiful sunrise on our way to New York on Thanksgiving Day.

Since we put up our tree the weekend before Thanksgiving it was so nice to come home & just put on the lights & not have to spend anytime during the long weekend decorating. I think instead of us doing the tree Thanksgiving weekend, we’ll do it the weekend before from now on. I’m so ready for all the holiday festivities now & hope you all had wonderful Thanksgiving weekends too! ♥
