I like my $$$ right where I can see it; hanging in my closet.

Adrienne asked: What's your go to item of clothing? Your MUST HAVE, 'always feel pretty even though you are feeling bleh' clothing?

Katie asked: My question is (of course related to clothing) where are your favorite places to shop?

Tenecia asked: I just want to see a picture of your closet because in my mind it looks like a combo of H & M, Target, Express, and Forever 21 :)

*** I’ve gotten many questions regarding my wardrobe. In fact, the questions above were a few that I received from this post, in regards to my wardrobe. I know, y’all thought I had forgotten about it. But I assure you that I haven’t. I’ll finish soon enough, I promise.

I haven’t really made a post about my wardrobe so I figured today was as good as any.

First I’ll answer the questions above:

1. My go to outfit is a flowy (I’m being told this is not a word?) top, skinny jeans and a stiletto. I think no matter the day, I feel great in this outfit.

2. My favorite places to shop are Old Navy, Express, Forever 21 (duh), Target and H&M. You will often see in my outfit posts that most of my clothing come from these stores.

For shoes I really love Steve Madden and Zaras. Every once in a while I’ll find shoes from Target that I really like as well.

In my younger days, I was very concerned with name brands, etc. I just had to have them. It did not matter if I was dropping $150 on a pair of jeans. The name sold me.

Thank goodness, I’ve grown since then. I am what some might call trendy. I love trends and I’m not afraid to admit it. I don’t try every trend because some just don’t work for me. So dropping $150 on a pair of jeans that I might not wear again in a few months/year is just not practical to me. I’ll rather spend that on going out to dinner or traveling.

That doesn’t mean that I don’t splurge every once in a while because I certainly do. There are just some things that are worth the extra dollars. And it’s up to the individual to decide what is worth the extra and what isn’t.

But there are things that one must look out for when shopping at stores like Forever 21, etc. Go into the stores. Touch the items. See how they are made. If you already see a stich coming loose, that’s a sign for you to put the item away. You’ll be surprised that many times you can walk out with something that looks so much more than you actually spent. Just because you’re spending less, doesn’t mean that the item needs to look less.

You also have to care for your items a little differently. I wash all my clothes in cold water and I never dry in the dryer (except for my gym attire). All my clothes are hung up to dry. Due to this, many of my inexpensive clothing have lasted a long time.

At the end of the day, wear what makes you feel good. If you feel good, most likely you look good. Well, as long as you’re not squeezing your size 12 behind into a size 4. You know I’m right. Summer is coming so all of our eyes are going to hurt very soon. But at least it will be warm.

Happy Wednesday or Happy Shopping! I’ll take the latter but I’m banned for the rest of the month. No, Sean didn’t ban me, I banned myelf. Best thing is that the end of the month is in 6 days, ha. Best ban ever.

I feel like a zombie & #yesimwearingthis

I read every single question from yesterday’s post and I was surprised that many of the questions I’ve never touched on this blog. I got questions about Sean, clothing, hair, what Sean and I do for a living, etc. I’ll break down the questions and answers in categories to make it organized somewhat.

I told Sean last night that he has a few questions to answer and his reply was, “um, OK”. So obviously he is very excited.

This morning I woke up and felt like I needed a million more hours of sleep. That could be my own fault since I go to bed at 12:30am. It was more like 1 am and I am completely feeling it. You will see in the pictures below that I look like I need a million more hours of sleep, which is also why the outfit I’m wearing is not exciting and neither is my face.

Maybe today I’ll go to bed early like a normal human being. Maybe.

What I Wore To See The Hobbit & #yesimwearingthis

Friday night, Sean and I went to see The Hobbit. It was awesome. I did fall asleep a couple of times but not because of boredom. It was long and I guess my brain tunes out every once in awhile. I cannot wait for the next one!

Oh and it happened. I got Sean to take an outfit picture of me without complaining. Not sure what happened to my husband but I'll take it. He did let me know that this will not be a regular occurrence. As if he needed to tell me. This is what I wore to see The Hobbit.

I'm thinking I could probably bribe him once a month to do this. It isn't as if he even has to leave the house in search of amazing backdrop. I'm working on it friends, I'm working on it ;).

And since today is Tuesday, I'll share what I'm wearing today.

Fashion World, I have two words for ya ....

You want to know what has been irritating me about fashion lately?
No?
Well, I’m going to tell you anyway.

One day something is in and then the next day it's out. It’s like if you want to keep up you have to spend everything you have. Well, that doesn’t work for me because this chica does not have a money growing tree. Take the fabulous bubble necklace for instance. It was all the rage and now you are "so not in" if you are caught wearing it.

The problem is that I still adore my yellow and turquoise bubble necklace. And I refuse to have them sit in a corner talking about how sad they are because the fashion world decided they are out.

I don’t care what the fashion world says. If I still like it, I’m gonna wear it.

What would you like to tell the fashion world besides, screw you?

And because today is good ole Tuesday, I'll share what I'm wearing today.

Happy Tuesday!

I don't think I told y'all but I must have pulled something at the gym early last week and was limping around like an old man. It was not cute. I still went to the gym but I walked on the treadmill like a freaking snail. I can finally walk without feeling like I've aged overnight. Horray for small victories!

I'm hoping that this week flies by because I'll have a 3 day weekend! Thank you Martin Luther King, Jr; not just for my 3 day weekend but because I get to be with my main man. Alrighty, I do that sometimes. You know, get off track. Sorry.

Let's get to the reason you're viewing this post in the first place.

Saturday night, Sean and I went out to our favorite Mexican Restaurant with his new work partner and his girl friend. It was my first time meeting them so I had to be on my best behavior which meant not taking pictures of my food, drinks, Sean and myself. Sean was thrilled. Me? Not so much.

I did snap these two pictures while we walked from our car to the restaurant.
I had a great time and I was thrilled to find that I had so much in common with Sean's partner's girlfriend. We talked as if we had known each other for years. Yay for a new friend in 2013!

This is what I wore:
Excuse the sneakers in this picture. Sean didn't feel like taking the picture again. Jerk.
{Dress: Alloy - Tights: Betsy Johnson - Boots: JCPennys - Earrings: Forever21}

Yesterday, I thought up an outfit. In my head it worked, so I wore it. Out in public. Mom, I promise I ironed my shirt before I wore it.

{Top: Old Navy - Necklace: Ebay - Pants: Target - Boots: Steven by Steve Madden}

And today I'm wearing all black, minus my shoes. Dangerous yesterday, safe today ;).

{Pants & Pumps: Target}

I kinda failed to get my top in the picture. If you are curious, it's the black top I wore in this post that I'm wearing today.

What are you wearing?! Let a girl know.

#yesimwearingthis & PPPP

Alright, let's start with what I'm wearing today. I feel like I haven't done a #yesimwearingthis post in a while so I knew that I had to rectify that this morning.

• This extremely cold weather. I'm usually a huge fan of winter but I'm so over it.

Praises

• God - I'm here because He's There.
• Thankful that Sean will do the drive to the city on Thursday which means I don't have to.
• Once Upon A Time - what a great show. Even Sean likes it.

#yesimwearingthis & Peaks, Pits, Praises and Prayers

Happy Tuesday all!

Alright, let’s start with what I’m wearing today. Oh and let's add a little disclaimer here. My waist looks ridiculously tiny here. It has to be the angle because my waist does NOT look like that. Especially not after stuffing my piehole with Cheetos. But those are my boobs. I just realized that y'all might think that I mean those aren't my boobs, since I crossed that out. So I guess, I should clarify that those are indeed my boobs. So awkward. Let's pretend this part isn't here.

♥♥♥

Today I’m linking up with Katie @ Married With a Pup for her Peaks, Pits, Praises and Prayers.

Peaks

• Eating lobster and having drinks on my company’s dime and time
• Our friends RSVPing yes for our Christmas party
• The excitement I can’t stop having that I’ll be seeing my family for my sister’s intimate baby shower this weekend! (where's the commas Faith?)
• 14 more sleeps until Christmas
• Comments from silent readers!
• Receiving a Christmas card from a sweet blog friend.

Pits

• Thinking about all the wrapping of gifts I have to accomplish this week
• Having a hard time coming up with pits
• My bathroom needs a hardcore cleaning because I didn’t do it last weekend. I regret it.
• Sean having to work this weekend so he can’t make my sister’s baby shower.

Praises

• God - I'm here because He's There.
• Sean. He didn’t exactly do anything but I try to praise him any chance I get. Wait, he did tell me that he was going to put up our Christmas lights today. I won’t mention that he is two weeks late.
• Not shopping for a few weeks that way I can have lots of mula to bid on Sean. Let’s hope that I don’t have to go over $100.00. I saw the way those rugby girls smiled at him at his Christmas party ;).

Prayers

• My sister is 35 weeks + 1 day today! Praying that she and my niece continue to stay healthy and strong. I can’t wait to meet you Baby D!

Thursday Random Ramblings

-I have a hole in my sweater today. It was my favorite sweater and then my dog jumped up to hug me. I still wore it anyway.

-Oh and I didn't do a #yesimwearingthis on Tuesday so here goes my holey outfit today.

{Sweater & Booties: Target - Jeans: H&M - Scarf: eBay}

-After Vegas, I kinda stopped watching what I was eating and stopped stepping on the scale. Yesterday, I stepped on it and I’ve gained a few pounds back. Damn it.

-Good thing I love to work out or I would resemble a horse. Actually I shouldn’t say that like it’s a bad thing. Horses are pretty.

-Someone asked me a question regarding this post, “If you don't win, will he seriously be going on a date with another woman? I guess, I didn’t think about losing. And I figured that no woman in her sane mind would want to bid against another man’s wife wearing stilettos. But then again, there are some cray, cray people out there. So if someone else wins the date, they will really know the meaning of threes a crowd. But I don’t have to worry about that because, really, I’m going to win.

-I have my job’s Christmas party tomorrow. We leave work at 1:15pm and head to a restaurant. Spouses/Significant others are not invited. While there, you can order anything you want to eat or drink. We leave work early, eat and drink for free, exchange Christmas gifts and then I have Sean pick me up. Good times.

-Sean is planning our next vacation. He asked me, “Would you mind if I plan our next vacation but didn’t tell you, and just told you the type of clothes to pack? I replied, “Sure.” But I didn’t really mean it. I was blogging and not really paying attention. But I won’t tell him I wasn’t listening. I'll wait until next week to bring it up again and when he says that I replied, "Sure." I'll say something to the effect of, "That's impossible, you must not have been listening to me and just heard what you wanted to hear." That should resolve that.

-I started watching this show about parolees and pit bulls and I cry every time. I am now obsessed with pit bulls and won’t have any other type of dog. This is a surprising turn of events since I was that girl who wanted the tiniest dog to put in a big suitcase purse. The ridiculous days of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are behind me.

-I enjoy random blog posts because I can write anything I want and you can’t judge me. Kidding. I know you’re judging me. But that’s OK, because if I wasn’t me, I would be judging me too. I mean, I told you about the weight gain and at this exact moment I’m eating a cupcake. I guess, I’ll never learn.

Weekend & #yesimwearingthis {#3}

We did our Black Friday shopping and did not get home until 4 in the morning. The funny part is that we didn't have anything big to purchase. We just wanted to be a part of the madness. Yes, we're crazy.

We did end up doing most of our Christmas shopping and that my friends means that Black Friday was a success. There were amazing deals. If only I needed a phone, TV, computer or any of the fancy electronics. Did you go shopping on Black Friday? Was it a success or did you wish that you went to bed early like a normal person?

All the eating I did a few hours prior, did not mean anything to my stomach. You would think that she wouldn't be hungry after I stuffed my piehole during Thanksgiving dinner. But no, she was hungry so I fed her some food court pizza at midnight. Not cool. But it was so good.

The mall was decked out for Christmas. It made me feel like maybe I wasn't insane like the people around me. Just a tad bit crazy but not insane.

On Friday, I was determined to start decorating but I couldn't. My body was hurting. Going to bed two nights in a row at 4am is hard. I don't know how I use to do it. Oh, right. I was in my 20s.

Since I had most of the day to relax on Friday, we decided to go out for some drinks and food. I guess, I was in this big pizza mood.

This is my fake smile.

This was a white garlic pizza with green peppers and olives. It was so, so good.

On Sunday, some Christmas decorating happened. Our tree is still in the basement but I'm thinking tonight we'll get to it. Here's a few pictures of the decorating that took place last weekend.

I'll share more of our Christmas decor once the tree is up!

Alright, today I'm wearing this. A little better than last week but still very comfortable.

#yesimwearingthis {#2}

Today’s outfit is not very exciting. In fact, I put absolutely no thought into it. My mind was on other things like my older sister won’t be at our Thanksgiving dinner. I’m super sad because it is the one time that we are all together and so I’m bummed. But I’m trying to think of happy things. Like turkey, family time, stuffing with dried cranberries and this awesome smores bar that Whitney made that made me want to jump through her screen. I’m determined to make this on Thursday. May the baking gods be ever in my favor.

Ok back to #yesimwearingthis:
{Top: Old Navy - Necklace: Forever 21 – Cropped Jeans: Target - Booties: Bakers }

I had a bit more of an exciting outfit last week.
Top underneath sweater: Alloy – Sweater: H&M – Necklace: Francesca’s – Scarf: Ebay – Skinnies: Forever 21 – Boots: Steve Madden}

Two more days! That should get me through today and tomorrow.

Have a fabulous day!

p.s. I can't wait to see what y'all are wearing. It was awesome to see many of your outfits on your Instagram and your blogs. Thank you for feeding my need to see what my blogger friends are wearing! ♥

#yesimwearingthis

I thought that I would forget that today is the first day of our #yesimwearingthis fun, surprisingly I didn't.

But then again, when it comes to clothes I hardly forget anything.

If you would like to join the fun all you have to do is share what you're wearing on Instagram or on your blog.

I would do a linkup but let's be real; I have no idea how to do such a thing. So let me know in the comments if you have shared what you're wearing on your blog or Instagram that way I can check you out.

And if you're wearing pajamas I might skip over just because I'm jealous. Oh and a few of you mentioned that you'll share what your cute babies are wearing. Even better. I need baby fever in these parts.

Lots of rain today so I took out my trusty Hunters.

{Sweater dress: H&M - Tights: Wet Seal - Boots: Hunters - Bomber jacket: American Eagle}

I can't wait to see what you're wearing today!

#yesimwearingthis

And I promise that will be my last political post until 2016, haha. I’ll say that I am so impressed with the comments that were left. They were completely classy which I totally expected from my blog friends. I got way more views than I got comments so that means to me, that many people did read and did not agree, but refrained from leaving mean comments and to that I say thank you. Thank you for leaving my space on the Internet classy.

Now let's get to fun stuff. Like clothes. And how I went to Target yesterday and felt like I had gone to Christmas heaven. Or how I can't believe Thanksgiving is in two weeks. Or how that means that Black Friday is just two weeks and one day away. I feel like singing all sorts of jolly songs, don't you?

Now to the title of this post:

A couple of weeks ago, I shared my outfits of the week and received amazing feedback. It actually isn’t good for my head because it is getting big and swollen. I use to blame my hair for the fact that my hats don’t fit well but I think it is because of you guys and your compliments.

While responding to emails on that post Chrissy said that she loved these types of posts. And I replied saying that I wish everyone would share because I love to see what my blog friends are wearing. Then she suggested that I come up with a hashtag and get others to also share what they are wearing on Instagram.

What a brilliant idea!

After a few back and forths on hashtag ideas it was decided that #yesimwearingthis was the best one since it had the least hashtags and is kinda like saying, “Yeah, I’m wearing this. What about it?”

{Sweater: JC Penny's - Tank: Wet Seal - Boots: Nine West}

{Top: Express - Jeans: Target - Boots: Steve Madden - Necklace: Forever 21}

{Sweater: H&M - Tank: Old Navy - Necklace and Leggings: Forever 21 - Boots: JC Pennys}

So if you are on Instagram and will like to join us and share what you’re wearing I will be thrilled.

If you are not on Instagram and will still like to share then you can join us with a blog post since most likely I will get on my blog and share anyway. Leave a comment for me to check out what you’re wearing and I’ll be on my merry way to your blog!

I’ll start Tuesday morning and we can make it a Tuesday thing where you share your #yesimwearingthis pictures on your blog or Instagram.
