If I’m to be honest, I dislike writing About Me descriptions and deleted my old "About Me" section because it did not feel like me anymore. But I was recently advised that it is a bit odd that I do not have one considering I’ve been blogging since 2010.
So who am I?
My name is Faith. I’ve been married to the love of my life, Sean, since 2009. We do not have children (unless you count our three fur-babies!) so the only children you’ll see on this blog are my adorable nieces, nephews and close friend's kiddos. I have three incredible sisters and an amazing dad and they complete my life. I value relationships with my friends and family a ton and try to find as much time to spend with them. My mother passed away from cancer in 2015 and a piece of my heart has been taken. I still have to remind myself that she is gone. My mom use to leave the best messages on birthdays, anniversaries, etc and I’m so glad I kept them because on those days I just listen to them and they make the day go by easier. She was a huge part of my life and it hurts so much that she’s gone. Her death has taught me that life is so short and to always let the ones you love know that you love them. I’ve changed over the years. I’m not as silly as I once was which you’ll see if you go a few years back in the blog. I often wish I were still that naïve and as optimistic as I once was as it was bliss. But I know that is not the way life works.
Things change and so I did.
Over the years, I’ve developed a huge love of photography. I love capturing moments and freezing them in time and I find myself feeling the freest and closest to God when I am by myself taking pictures. No one waiting (impatiently) for you to capture the moment and no one wondering why you have to take five pictures of the same thing. I love life and I love people. I’m thankful each day when I wake and savor the fact that I was given another day to live it better than the day before.
Thanks for reading and hope you stay a while.

ReplyDeleteHi Faith sorry to ask this on here but I did not see an email address at which I could contact you on the blog. You say your parents are from Ghana and you were raised in an African household how come this is not reflected in your blog (from the few recent posts that I have read) is it that you don't like the culture or choose not to show that part of your heritage on your blog. Most African female Diaspora bloggers and vloggers whether born in the Diaspora or immigrants that I have read and followed their blogs/vlogs so far usually give us a taste of their heritage every once in a while some almost always be it with clothes and accessories, food, ornaments, decorations in their home, an African event they went to or a trip back home etc. I do apologize if you have blogged on this before but obviously I couldn't go through all your back posts and your labels had no tags relating to this that I could quickly click on to read such posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Faith! I love your blog. I hope you continue having much success over here. I love reading about what you want to write about. I'm not understanding the commenter above me, but, poorly-socialized folks that don't realize how impolite it is to question one's cultural ties based on the content of a blog are of no consequence, anyway :) I love what you're doing here. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Faith, thanks for visiting my page. I love meeting new people too so it's great I stumbled on yours. You have a wonderful blog and I'm definitely staying to read and follow your family adventures!
ReplyDeleteGod bless xo

ReplyDeleteHello! I just stumbled upon your blog from another blogger, and I am so happy that I've discovered your blog. You seem like a ray of SUNSHINE! Shine on sis! My family is from Sierra Leone and Ghana, so when I say your Ghana post from years ago, my heart smiled!
