Insert super clever title here..

Now that we're in the month of March I've been hit with a bit of excitement. The knowledge that I may soon be able to walk the dogs without feeling like my hands are about to fall off has me feeling like I need to jump up and down with the cheesiest smile on my face and bust a move.

I won't tell you if I just did that or not.

But as the warmer weather comes there goes any desire to be a hermit. I want to be out and about doing stuff. I want to dress up and not use the excuse of "it's too cold to look cute". Worst excuse if you ask me since being cute is mandatory at all times. I want to take pictures. Lots and lots of pictures of my everyday life. And now that we're in March I feel like that is about to happen.

Remember when I use to blog about date nights and actually take my camera out on those dates? I'm acting like it was years ago, ha I felt the desire last night and took a few pictures. Granted the ambience was low light and romantic but I felt like taking pictures and I know it's cheesy but it felt pretty good. There's something about being behind the camera and capturing moments that thrill me and when that was disappearing I felt sad. When you love doing something so much and then have no desire to do it, it makes you wonder what's going on. But yesterday, it was good.

A few weekends ago, Fella had just been given a bath. He is wiped down with a towel but he insists on licking himself dry. And while I watched him I decided it was time to get new pictures of him. He is our first fur-baby and I'm sure if you weren't here in the beginning of the blog you probably don't even know we have a cat. This was my favorite post of Fella. All the way in 2010. It was short, sweet and when I read old posts this one always makes me smile.

So here are a few shots I took of our first fur-baby that day. I hope that although the house is filled with dogs and humans he still knows that he is deeply loved, even when he decides it is a good idea to rub against my black pants when I am heading out the door to get to work.

So yeah, loving my cat and knowing that warm weather will soon arrive is where I'm at today. Oh and if you look closely you will see some peeks of the house and how it was looking at that time. A few things have changed (the magazine rack holder is no longer there) and I'm thinking I should blog about that soon but because things are still half-done, I am hesitant of sharing.

But anyway, hope you're enjoying the weekend! We're at a high of 32 degrees. Near heat wave if you ask me! ;)

Now if you would excuse me, I'm going to have the songs "Chandelier" and "Love Me Like You Do" on repeat all day today. ♥

I Belong Out There.

I do not know why these humans insist I'm an indoor cat.
IMG_1442
I belong out there.
Torturing the birds as they torture me while I'm confined inside.
They're lucky these windows separate us.
Because ... the type of pain I could inflect on them with these paws.

I even started tolerating Izabella that way these humans could see that I can hang with the big, bad world.
I mean she's a pitbull and I sleep next to her with both.eyes.closed.

If only they'll let me out that way I can show em'.
Because this indoor stuff is for the birds.

Best Things In {My} Life #3

I was never an animal person. I just wasn’t.

The only reason we got Fella was because an apartment I shared with my sister had mice.

It worked like a charm and within a week there were no more mice.

But then I grew to love him.

He was unlike any cat I had ever met.

He was a people cat. He gave hugs and would stroke your face. And he didn’t hang around only when he wanted something.

I decided that I still wasn’t an animal person, just a cat person.

And then we adopted Izabella.

And the first few weeks I was unsure of her. I was kinda scared of her too.

I mean she is a pitbull and pitbulls have a bad reputation.

I thought that at any moment she would attack me and trust me when I say that the first few weeks I stayed away unless I had to be around her.

Because of this Sean and Izy bonded way quicker than we did.

One day I got home from work and Izy was going crazy. I freaked out and told Sean, OMG! Our dog is possessed! He looked at me like I was an alien and said, “No, she is just happy to see you.” I responded with, “Goodness, what is she going to do when she isn’t happy to see me.”

And although, I tried to keep my distance she would follow me everywhere I would go. Lick me. Wag her tail when I looked at her and I realized that she already loved me and wanted me to love her.

And love her I do. Not sure the moment I decided that she was my baby but one day I was no longer afraid of her. I wasn’t afraid to hug her. I wasn’t afraid to pet her. I wasn’t afraid.

Now I am not only a cat person but a dog person and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Fella and Izy, you certainly make the list of the best things in life.

Happy Birthday Loves! ♥

{below picture taken last year at my parent's surprise birthday dinner}

Today is the most incredible woman’s birthday. My mom.

She is my role model.

Whenever I need anyone she is that person for me.

She prays with and for me.

She is so God fearing and I pray that I will get to her level one day.

Today when I called her at midnight to wish her Happy Birthday {I just wanted to be the first one to wish it to her} she thanked God for having a daughter like me. I absolutely adore her and am so grateful that God found me good enough to have her as my mom.

Happy Birthday to my amazing mother. I pray that God continues to give you many, many more healthy years. Because you truly make this world a better place.

*************************************

And while we’re on the discussion of birthdays I figure that it is only right that I say Happy Birthday to my first fur baby. He is 5 years old today! I cannot believe it. We got him when he was 6 weeks and to realize that he has been a joy in my life for 5 years already is pretty surprising. Time flies. Happy Birthday Fella baby. We love you!

Today you will be spoiled with tuna, catnip and treats!

*************************

Oh and today marks my 5 year anniversary at my job. 5 whole years! I actually have a pension now. I never thought that at 29 I would have a pension because I couldn’t stay at a job for more than a year. I guess, I have found my calling.

Wishing you all a Happy Tuesday because today is definitely one!

Fella Baby

My cat was feeling a little unloved and asked me to post about him today. He told me he is getting pissed of all the love Izabella is getting and doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. He said, "she isn't even all that cute and makes all sorts of scratches on the hardwood floors."

I don't understand where the jealousy is stemming from.

I guess, he doesn’t realize that he will always be my number one fur baby.

The first baby that hubs and I got together.

The first baby that I have ever had.

He doesn’t understand how much I want him to love Izabella and not stay in the basement all pissed that there is a dog upstairs.

I think he does know that I think he is hilarious because when he is feeling feisty he completely terrorizes Izabella with the cat swinging door. Izabella would run up to the door and Fella would continuously hit the swinging cat door in Izabella’s face. Poor Izabella just stands there hoping that Fella would come out and play with her.

Fella, I must tell you to stop hissing at Izabella. It is scary. You are much nicer than that.

And whilst I am not missing your fur all over the floor and chairs, I have to tell you that I miss you sleeping on my belly while I watch television.

I miss your snoring and the fact that you sleep with one eye open. Never thought I would miss that spookiness but I do.

I know you feel betrayed but if you would only give Izabella a chance you will see that mom and dad just wanted you to have a buddy to play with.

So get over it and show Izy who’s boss.

Question answered by Yours Truly

I always say that I have the most fabulous followers friends. I sometimes read a comment you all leave and giggle. Hubs will walk in the office and see me giggling with the computer. He gives me that look of, "oh boy" but he walks away. He knows very well that I will defend any laughter that derives from a computer screen.

A few days I ago I received this comment ... and although it shouldn't make me giggle it did. This was the question:

"Did you go to Vegas and get baby brain by any chance? Hmmm..."

I am more than ready to answer this question. Are you ready for my answer?!

The answer is Hell to the Nahs! Haha ... not funny? OK, sorry. Going to Vegas is the last place on earth that I could ever get baby brain, hehe.

As much as I know that the hubs and I are going to have the absolutely most adorable, gorgeous, unbelievably intelligent, greatest assets to society type of children, we are just not ready to gift the world yet.

I know Mom, we have been married for "ONE.WHOLE.YEAR. What are you both waiting for?"

We are waiting. That's all. Nothing exactly for.

The thing is, a year ago we were like ... oh yea, the second year of marriage Faith will be popping a kid out. No question. But now that I see just how fast a year has flown I am kinda doing the backwards walk.

I am like wait, hold up (I just said that the way rappers do, fyi). In 11 months, I am suppose to start accepting the fact that we would start trying and then something could possibly be in my tummy moving around taking ALL of my nutrients, making me vomit (i hate to vomit), sometimes even have my nose bled (yes, I read this somewhere). And I am suppose to be ready for that?

I know that the aftermath is a beautiful, beautiful miracle. And I do hope to someday be a part of that miracle. Just not right now. Is that wrong? I hope not. I know that one day I am going to be an absolutely amazing mom. Who loves her children more than herself ... but not right now.

I change my mind very often so who knows? I might get baby brain tomorrow and decide that I just have to be a mother. Until then, I will continue to be content with my stud muffin of a husband and my kitty baby.

**But I promise that when I get baby brain, you all will be the first to know! See?! I am that fabulous of a friend! ;)**

My cat snores.

I didn't think that was possible.

And he sometimes sleeps with one eye open.

Weird.

Fall In Our Abode

Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love everything about it. Everything.

In celebration of Fall, the hubby and I bought a few things on Friday to welcome Fall in our home. I was so excited and although I wanted to buy everything I saw, I had a budget to stick to! The hubby was smart enough to remind me that each year we will add things to our collection and in a few years we won't even have to shop for Fall decor. I do not believe the last line but it worked to get me out of the store!

Dining room:

I had to tell the hubby AND myself that we can't eat our decorations. Good thing we bought two huge bags because within a few hours all the candy corn and pumkins were gone.

Kitchen - we already had that thingy that is on the stove, it was a Christmas gift, (don't know what it is called) so we just picked up the towels:

Living Room:

Details of the bowl:

Bathroom: (It is normally a green and brown theme so it was refreshing to see another color in our bathroom)

Even Fella got in on the action!

Check out his strut! ;)

I can't wait to start carving pumpkins. It will be my first time, ever! :)

Happy Birthday Mommy! :)

Happy Birthday to the most amazing woman in the world. I am so incredibly blessed that God chose you to be my mother. Thank you for teaching me all that I know and always being the shoulder to lean on from the day I was born. I love you and hope you have the most amazing day!

p.s. I told dad to spoil you rotten! :)

My mom getting her dance on at my wedding. It's where I get my moves! ;)

*********************************************************************************

And it's my Fella's birthday today too! I knew that cat was special! Hehehe. Happy Birthday Fella. Mommy is going to spoil you with tons of treats and wet food today! :)

Happy Birthday to my loves. Praying that God blesses you both with many more healthy years!

My poor Kitty had a rough wknd.

This post isn't about my eventful weekend. It isn't about the shambles my house is in. I would post pictures but they are slightly embarrassing. I should be packing things away but I feel the need to blog about my cat, Fella.

I've had Fella since he was 6 weeks ago. He will turn 3 on the 26th ... just a few more days! Each year that Fella has been alive he has moved. So I figure he should be use to it by now.

Fella started noticing that something was happening on Friday. When everything was being moved to one corner he just stared. My poor baby's heart was probably breaking. If only hiding would make things stop.

When he was put in his pet taxi and the car started to move him to his new home he began to cry hysterically. I tried to distract him but he just got louder. We had to just let him cry his poor heart out. When he got to the house and we let him out it didn't get any better. He actually got worse.

The hubs went back to the apt to get the Uhaul packed with his friends and I stayed at the house waiting for the cable guy and some furniture to be delivered. I was just unpacking a few things until I realized that I didn't hear a thing. Nothing. Uhm, did Fella decide he loved the house already? I started to search for him. Our house is not so big so he couldn't have gone far but imagine how much I began to panic when I realized I could not find him. I actually started freaking out because how was I going to tell the hubs that I lost our cat in our house? Yeah, not gonna happen.

I finally decided to check the closet in our guestroom when I realized that there was actually a hole that covered our plumbing and was nailed shut but my smart cat figured out how to get inside this hole. I knew he had to be in there but I couldn't see him. Finally, I saw his eyes. You know how kitty eyes just glow in the dark. I started telling him to get out but he paid me no mind. I got treats, tuna, brought out ties he loves but nada. He had found a spot he felt safe in and he was not coming out. I started to pace. I called hubs and told him everything and kept on asking him if the cat was going to die. He said, "The cat is not going to die, just get him out". He just couldn't understand that I couldn't get him out.

I had to wait for the hubs to get back home before I could get him out. Poor kitty was in that hole for about 2 hours. Not sure if he minded though. When the hubs got home he had to wrestle Fella to get him out. Fella did not want to leave. Finally, the hubs pulled him out with all the strength in the world (slight exaggeration). Those small animals pry out so easily. It was very interesting to watch, lol. I mean, Fella weighs like nothing & Sean was having a hard time getting him out!

When Sean finally got him out we had to put him back in the pet taxi to avoid anything else happening. Fella was very content with that and stayed quiet for the rest of the day, just watching us move things in. He would not eat anything we brought to him and he refused to use the bathroom.

At 6pm, we unlocked the taxi but he refused to move. At 7:30, Fella decided it was safe and quietly walked around the house. Stopping to sniff things. He recognized our old bed and stayed with it for one hour. Around 9pm, Fella finally went to the bathroom and had the longest pee ever. I'm serious. He must have had to go for so long but because of his nerves he held it in. Good cat.

He finally went to his bowl to eat and drink water. And today when I got home, I caught this.

I have a feeling he is going to be just fine! :)
