I'm all about the movies right now ...

I have been going to the movies a lot lately. Although, the price of a movie ticket gets to me each time, it is a lot cheaper than going for dinner and drinks for date night. If you bring your own nachos, even cheaper. And yes, I bring my own nachos. I smuggle them in from Taco Bell.

Here are my reviews:

The Three Stooges - C- {I just didn't find it funny or interesting. But if you have seen episodes of the show and you enjoy them then you might enjoy the movie. But I didn't and felt like I wasted $11.00}

The 5 Year Engagement - A+ {So funny! So, so funny and sweet at the same time. Go see it! That is an order!}

The Avengers - B- {This might be an unfair grade as I have not seen the movies of each superhero but we just weren't into it. I even fell asleep for a few minutes. That's a first! I will say that many that did see it, gave it great grades, so if this is a movie that you normally enjoy, go see it!}

The Lucky One - A- {My sister and I both loved it! It was a sweet movie. I'm not going to lie I wanted to see Zac Efron break out in song and dance, hehe. But at least now I feel OK saying that he is hot because I won't get arrested or anything. Go see it!}

And that concludes my movie reviews for today.

  4. I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed 5 Year Engagement. It was the "movie of the week" choice because it had no competition! LOL It as indeed awesome.

    But Faith - I loved The Avengers!! Partly because I took the kids and my son gets SUPER excited and crazy which makes things better! It was dialoguey and action packed - but I really enjoyed it.

    The Lucky One was pretty darn good too! Especially cuz I have been lusting for it for months!

    Good reviews my girly!

  15. We love going to the movies! Luckily we live in a small town and although there is only one screening of one movie (7pm nightly: sometimes 9:30pm too!), the $5 price tag makes it worth it! If we want to see a certain movie, we drive an hour which isn't too bad either (we did that with The Hunger Games, which JUST got to our theatre)!

  16. I find myself a little surprised at the Avengers grade but at the same time superhero movies really aren't for everybody. I'm glad you enjoyed those other two films but honestly I'm not surprised that you didn't think highly of the Three Stooges film, the originals might have been funny but this film just seems ridiculous. Thanks so much for the reviews regardless Faith.

    We've watched Unstoppable this past weekend with Denzel & also I'm loving Something Borrowed. We got Direct TV rather than cable & I love the movie selections!

  19. I loved the 5 Year Engagement too. It was funny but also had some serious moments that show some of the struggles in real relationships.

  26. This is a good review. I'm not really into watching movies while they are in theaters because I really do think it's insanley over expensive. And I like to pause the movie and refill on snacks, go to the bathroom, get comfy, etc. I much prefer to watch movies at home once they come out on DVD.

    Although I am considering going to theaters to see 'act like a lady, think like a man'. Have you seent hat yet?
