A few weeks ago, I decided I needed a new summer dress. I went out and couldn't find anything I liked. When I got home I was annoyed so I decided to go through my closet to see if I could find anything to wear. Going through my closet I realized that I had so much stuff that I had to get rid of, donate or give to my little sister because unfortunately they don't fit me anymore. Damn ice cream.
I came across a dress I bought a couple of years ago and I was so happy to find it. The colors remind me of summer. It is light, figure flattering and best of all still fits!

I am so guilty of saying, "I don't have anything to wear." The reason is because all the stuff I'm not wearing is hiding all the great stuff I could be wearing.
I've decided that I need to do this a lot more often. Purge out my closet of shoes and clothes and find the gems that have been hiding.

ReplyDeleteI just donated 10 bags of clothes that don't fit anymore (damn breastfeeding boobs lol) and found some cute things that DO fit that I forgot I have!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress a lot Faith, a closet purge would most definitely be a good idea if things are a little, or a lot packed in there but make sure not to throw anything out that you like too much!

i recently did the same thing. i had things that were just too short for me that i gave to my older sister or things that were too big. lol. opposite? but i love that dress. but really.

Rockin it Faith. I totally do this. I tried to make a deal w/Jared that I could get something new for every three things I throw out. Then he saw the bags I was able to collect from the black hole I lovingly refer to as "closet" and the offer was rescinded.

ReplyDeleteI try to clean out my closet about twice a year! Usually before summer and winter! I give all my clothes away! But I always find something that I forgot I had! Because its covered up with what all I do wear, like you said!

i recently got rid of a ton of stuff... and honestly, a little of it too quickly. i always forget about my dresses! but i have a bunch... and love to buy more... and only seem to wear the new ones! i so need to shop my closet.

I purge my closet pretty consistently, so there isn't always a lot to choose from. I usually get rid of stuff if it's sat for about a year!

Get it girl! I still have clothes in my closet with price tags on them! I really need to start shopping in my closet too because I swear up and down I don't have anything to wear, but I'm sure it's all just hiding behind all my millions of other clothes. Annnnnd I have donated some recently and STILL have wayyyy too many. Way to save some money and still look cute :)

It definitely screams SUMMER! :) And I love "shopping in my closet".. especially if we just picked up dry cleaning ;) Girls will always have too many clothes and will always overuse "I don't have anything to wear".
