Congrats to the Prince and Princess!

This has been the talk of the country for the last few months. I wonder what people will talk about after today.

It is a girl's dream to grow up to be a princess but it is a special day when one actually does grow up to become one.

A joining of two lives is a beautiful thing and I wish them nothing but the best. A lifetime full of love and happiness.

Because I can't help but continue to droll over some pictures with the help of msn.com I am able to post a few!

How beautiful does she look?!

Congrats!

New Wedges

We're going to Virgina Beach in a few weeks with my sister in law and her husband.

I am so excited and don't believe there is a better excuse than a vacation to buy new sandals.

I checked out Bakers, Aldos, Steve Madden for two hours and didn't find anything I loved. Then I remembered good ole Zappos and within five minutes, I was checking out!

My new wedges :)

Now, I just pray they fit and that my toes don't look funny in them. I just hate that!

Hmmm, maybe I do like a lil organization ....

Every time we got mail, it either ended up here:

or here:

It started to aggravate me that we did not have a proper place to store our mail.

The dining table was NOT the place for our mail.

So I headed to Marshalls to see if I could find something that would help make our lives a little less disorganized.

For $9.99, we have a bit more organization in our lives.

It feels good to have a little place for our mail and I am happy to say that it is working. No mail has been on our dining table or the bar for one week! :0)

Now it's time to figure out that office/den of ours. It is a disorganized mess. I'll share when I figure out the organizing secret for that room.

Every Weekend Should Be A 3 Day Weekend!

I am so excited for my three day weekend!

I want to say that I plan on doing things around the house and being productive.

But I don't want to.

I intend to lay on the couch and watch movies. I plan on getting up a few times to eat but then I plan on getting back on the couch and watching some more movies.

I might do a few things around the house that way when the hubs gets home I could pretend that I wasn't really a bum all day.

I might also do a little basket for the hubby and fill it up with all types of goodies. He might forgive me my laziness if I do that! ;)

We'll see.

Hope you all have tomorrow off & that you intend to be lazy bums too! :o)

I Am So Proud

I received a phone call at work from Sean today. You could hear the smile in his voice and I just knew! But of course I waited. He didn't say, "I got the job!" like most normal people would. He said, "Guess who makes 50% more?!" Haha.

If I wasn't at work I would have jumped out of my seat and screamed at the top of my lungs. I didn't ... I should have, just to see the reactions from my coworkers, haha.

It truly has been a long time coming. Sean interviewed for this same position last year and he was not offered the job.

Thank God that after that rejection he stayed with this company. I know for sure I wouldn't have. I would have done everything in my power to leave but he stayed. Well, let's be honest here. The economy is the reason he stayed because quite frankly unless he wanted a pay cut no one was hiring for the type of job Sean wanted or needed.

God has the perfect timing and I know that God taught Sean that if you truly want something you have to work for it. Nothing is handed to you just because you think you deserve it.

A month ago, he began to get pressed to interview for the position a second time. I was happy he was going to be given a second chance but of course I didn't trust it. Sean didn't trust it most of all. It was humiliating the first time around.

He didn't allow his past experience to deter him and he did everything he could to ensure that this time around he was ready to be interviewed.

Of course, all weekend he talked about everything he should have said better at his interview. He probably didn't get the job because he could tell that the last group of people who interviewed him "were just not feeling him." Blah, blah, blah. At one point, I actually yelled at him to shut up and get positive or I didn't want to hear what he had to say. My bad.

6 years ago, Sean walked into this company with one goal in mind. To be an Operations Manager. It was going to be a difficult task because he just had his Associates at that time. He was a party boy when we were in college and had to leave because the last thing on his mind were classes.

For him to go back home was embarrassing. Being the first one in his family to go to college it was very difficult for him to let his family know that he had failed.

The day he got home, his life changed. He got his Associates, then his Bachelor and just received his Masters a few months ago.

To say I am proud is an understatement. He could have easily allowed many of his past experiences determine what he could do. He could have easily allowed himself to believe he was a failure. He chose not to.

Today, my husband is an Operations Manager. The best part about all of this is that I know this is just the beginning of things he is going to accomplish in his life.

Babe, there is no one in the world that I know, who deserves this more than you. You make me so proud to be called your wife.

Me Or Him?

I found this on Mackey Madness blog and decided that I wanted to play along.
________________________________________________________

How long have you been together?

**We've been together for 4 years and 2 months. Married for 1 year and 5 months.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?

**We met in college but we weren't exactly what you would call friends. So I would say, that we truly knew each other for a lil over a month before we started dating.

Who asked who out?

**He says I did. I'm super confident like that, haha.

Did you go to the same school?

**We went to the same college although we grew up in two completely different worlds.

Who is the most sensitive?

**Sean! No doubt! I blame it on the fact that I have 3 sisters. You can't be too sensitive when your sisters call you bighead, big butt, and well, all the mean things girls come up with when you're fighting.

What about pets?

**One cat - Fella

Where do you eat out most as a couple?

**I'll have to say Chinese food. We love Mexican food but it is so much easier to take out Chinese.

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?

**Jamaica for our honeymoon!

Who has the craziest exes?

**Hmmm, Sean! Haha.

Who has the worst temper?

**Me! Me! Me! Poor Sean!

Who does the cooking?

**We both do, but lately I am doing more of it because I am trying out new recipes.

Who is more social?

**I think we are equally social. But Sean is nicer. When I meet someone and talk to them for a minute, I already know if I want to be their friend. If after a few minutes of talking and I know I won't like you, I won't waste my time ... but Sean would be friends with everyone. It's a flaw I'm working on...

Who is the neat freak?

**Sean, ooops.

Who is the most stubborn?

**Me.

Who hogs the bed?

**No one really. We both stay on our sides of the bed.

Who wakes up earlier?

**Sean.

Where was your first date?

**We went to the movies and watched A Night at the Museum where he proceeded to sleep, haha.

How long did it take to get serious?

**Hmmm, maybe 3 months of dating I realized I was going to keep him around.

Who eats more?

**Sean for sure!

Who does the laundry?

**We both do. Sean tends to do it more often because he does not believe that you can wear jeans more than once without having to wash it.

Who drives when you are together?

**He drives everywhere! My car pictures are proof! :)

Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong?

**He always does ... even if he isn't wrong.

Who wears the pants in the relationship?

**Um, I do ... I rule, but he is the head of the household and I truly love him for that but what I say usually goes, hehe.

Who eats more sweets?

**I'm the worst when it comes to sweets. He could go a year without eating sweets and sometimes I can't even go a day.

p.s. It is amazing how many pictures you take when you're together for four years!

I Just Heard The Ice Cream Truck

And my heart skipped a beat.

Like when I was a little girl.

Only problem is that I wasn't fast enough to catch it.

It left me with two dollars in my hands.

I don't know why I thought I would actually catch it.

Maybe next time.

But seriously, what the freak is the ice cream truck doing around here? It is not that warm. It shouldn't pass my house ever.

I'm pissed.

{Dinner} Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore

I found this recipe on The Living Well blog. The ingredients sounded like they would go amazing together so I decided to make it. I have a crazy long list of recipes I want to try from blogs I follow. It is going to take me forever!

I threw the thawed chicken breast in the crockpot.
Chopped up green peppers and onions.
Put in some minced garlic.
Seasoned with basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

She used Vodka Sauce which I thought was a neat twist.
I dumped the vodka sauce and the whole can of tomato paste in the pot.

I mixed it all together after I took this picture.

I cooked it on low for six hours.

Review:

I noticed that my sauce ended up looking a little lot darker than hers. I probably was suppose to use half the can of tomato paste, oops.

All in all, the chicken came out super moist and the hubs loved it. I forgot to buy mushrooms and I know that it would have been perfect in this meal. I liked it but I think because I used too much tomato paste it kind of overpowered the meal and made it a tad bit sweet.

I will def. try it again because regardless of my mistakes it was delish.
