Are pigs flying???

I crap you not. I am watching House Hunters and hubby is chilling on the couch talking about and "reading" coupons. He is actually reading the fine print. I didn't even KNOW they had fine print on frickin' coupons! You are probably wondering what the hell happened to my husband, I am wondering the same thing.

Well, Mr. Sean decided to watch an episode of Extreme Couponing last night and now he is determined to walk out of a grocery store with the store owing him money. He is serious about it too. I am a little spooked out.

I am so tempted to take a picture of this that way you can see what he is doing but then he will get suspicious and know for a fact that I am blogging about him.

He seriously just said, "Babe, we are so going to save a lot of money. I'm couponing!"

Where is my husband and what have they done to him?

  7. I just caught an episode of that show recently that is crazy. Unfortunately the news in Miami did say most grocers have now changed their coupon policies because of the show. Way to go Sean on trying to save you guys money!

  9. Faith, this put a HUGE smile on my face, because I had a very similar experience with Matthew recently!!! Seriously, he and Sean are soulmates. Lol!! Matthew saw that show about extreme couponing and he was like "why the !@#* arent WE doing this?" and I was like "umm, because those people have a disease, and we are normal" and then he went on and on about how there must be a happy medium and we could be saving tons of money and blah blah blah... LMAO!

    It blew over.

    Hilarious.

  11. I've never seen the show, but I've started couponing myself lately. I think Sean and I need to get together and coupon together. You can make us Margaritas while we read the fine print. Doesn't that sound like a fun Friday night? :)

  12. I've yet to see the show myself - I think it's good if your husband clipps coupons although I've never tried it myself, but perhaps he does it for the fun of it. Enjoy the weekend;-)

  15. Had my husband watched that show I have no doubt in my mind that he would be doing the same thing. He is all about saving money.

I think that coupons are great but those serial-couponers are just annoying. I'll never forget, years ago I was once in line at the grocery store behind a woman whose groceries totaled around $150, that's a lot of groceries! Well anyway, I thought finally she can pay for all of this crap and get out of here, well she whips out this fanny pack of coupons! I am so serious when I say, her groceries totaled $47 once she was done. I was annoyed and amazed all at once. Who has the patience to clip that many coupons?! And what store would actually take them all! I was tempted to just leave the line and go to another but I was so amazed by the number of coupons she had that I HAD to see how much she would save.

  16. @Jenni: Hahaha, it blew over! I have this strange feeling that it won't! I like saving money but I never thought he would get into it like this, lol.

@ Brandi: OMG, tell me about it! I've been behind that line before ... annoyed and amazed at the same time. I don't think we'll ever get to that point but a few bucks saved here and there is amazing to me! :)

  19. Sounds like it's more about the challenge and less about the saving money part! He's all gung ho. Too funny! I'd love to see if he can pull it off.

  22. That sounds exactly like something my Mr. A would do. He reads the small print on the coupons ALL the damn time. It's ridiculous!!!
