What A Feeling!


The beginning of this year one of my resolutions was to:

"5. Pay off 2 credit cards, those suckers suck."

That was my exact wording.

I am so happy to report that I have already paid off two credit cards so far this year and we are only in May! It is seriously the best feeling in the world to pay one last bill on a card, ever. I refuse to use store credit cards again. If I ain't got the money, I ain't buying nothing, haha.

Let's see if I can actually pay off another credit card or two this year. I know, I know ... I was horrible in college but I looked fly.

    I have credit card phobia myself! I pretty much only buy what I actually have cash money for or will have cash money for within the month. I have always been that way so luckily I haven't had to learn the hard way but I know plenty that have. Congrats on getting one paid off. It's such a relief not to have that kind of debt hanging over your head. One down and the next one to go!! Good for you.

    When I met Adam, I was in cc debt up to my eyeballs. Over the years, he really taught me so much about debt and finances and all the stuff I had no clue about. Stocks? IRAs? I used to plug my ears and say "Ican'thearyouIcan'thearyou" because I was so disinterested.

    But you know what? I feel so empowered now because 1) besides our mortgage, we have zero debt 2) I can now make and follow a budget and 3) I am starting to invest in our future. It feels really, really good.

    Congrats to you chica. I'll love you with or without those new fly shoes :)

    That's awesome. I agree with Frugalista (I am deathly afraid of credit cards too). We only have one and we it for large purchases then try to pay it off quickly. I don't have much credit card debt but I have a heap of educational debt. Booooo! LOL

    AND WAY TO GO! That IS awesome girl! I am in the middle of paying things off and it SUCKS so bad.

    that's great! i normally pay off my credit card bill every month, but recently managed to accumulate a little... LOL temptation!!!

    Congratulations!!! Its one of the reasons I love American Express, cause at the end of the month you have to pay off the entire bill....no minimum or anything. Makes you think twice as to whether you really should make a purchase or not. Way to go girl. You're on the road to foot loose and debt free!!!
