On Saturday, we celebrated my niece's first birthday. Yeah, I know. One year flew by! It was such a fun event and my sister did an amazing job coming up with the concept. The theme was Winter ONEderland which came together perfectly. Lots of silver, white, snowflakes and the surprising addition of lavender because it has been a constant color in my niece's life.
I could not stop taking pictures of all the details. What can I say, I am all about details. The silver trees, the hot chocolate station, the candy station, the Oreo truffles which we called "snowballs", mini grilled cheese sandwiches with homemade tomato soup, the hot chocolate mason jar favors, the snowflakes on the cake and cupcakes. Every detail was thought of. And you'll see that in the multiple pictures in this post.
And my niece's outfit. I just could not get enough of it. I told my sister that she'll be planning all my future kiddos birthday parties and I'll take pictures at all her children's birthday parties. I think that is definitely a fair trade. If only my pictures could truly capture how beautiful everything was but the lighting inside the room was not my favorite.
It was a great day of celebration and I thank God that he ensured that my sister, BIL and niece's first year went without a hitch.

ReplyDeleteShe did a great job! Such a pretty, girly and festive looking party. And her dress is perfect!!! I always crack up when I see stuff like this because my sister's non-parties for my nephew were like BBQ's with no decor and I'm pretty sure I'd probably do the same if I had a kid. I am so not crafty! I guess I could be but I just don't have the patience to do all the work.
