Labor day weekend was jammed packed and in true Faith fashion I may have taken too many pictures, so of course this post may be longer than it really should be. My job let us out earlier so I did all my grocery shopping Friday after work that way I did not have to worry about it all weekend. Sean and I found a Netflix show "Pablo Escobar" and proceeded to watch it during our downtime. We just finished it and although I knew about Pablo Escobar I did not know as much as I thought. You should have seen us googling things we saw on the show to ensure that it actually happened in real life and not just Hollywood. I was surprised to find that the show is pretty spot on and WOAH. He was something else. We hope season two gets here quickly.
On Saturday, my sister and her fiancé threw a BBQ so we headed out to Upstate NY for that. We had a really great time and I was happy to see my little sisters. Oh and Emma, we missed you!
My sister's fiancé, Ben, makes a killer burger. I am not one for burgers but OH EM GEE these were incredible.
Best grilled burger I've ever had.
- The host & hostess.
- There was a lot more food than is pictured. I just didn't want everyone to think I had gone incredibly mad taking pictures of food. Not everyone knows this deep, dark secret of mine. You know, that I love taking pictures of food.
- How gorgeous is my sister & nephew? Their smiles makes me happy.
- Tomorrow is my little (not so little anymore!) sister's birthday! Happy early birthday Maryanna!
I can't wait to celebrate with you this weekend!
On Sunday, Sean and I went to the fair and I completely should have tried fried smores but I didn't, boo to me! I wanted to walk around a bit and see some vendors and then we could not remember where the vendor was located (since it was so big) so I had to get ice cream instead. Hopefully next year I'll get my hands on some fried smores.
After the fair we went to the winery, did a little wine tasting and stocked up on our favorite wines. We left with 6 bottles and I can't wait to share the blueberry wine with my little sister when she visits me since I know she'll love it.
Actually, I just might have to take her to a few wineries around here.
On Sunday, Cinthia and I did brunch and had a little too much food.
OK that's a lie. There's no such thing as too much food ;).
- This is obviously a given.
It was a great weekend and I'm a firm believer that every weekend should consists of three days.
This two day crap is for the birds ;).
Hope that you all have wonderful weekends! xoxo

ReplyDeleteThanks to your blog, the inches around my waist are increasing ;). Your whole week sounds like fun. Next time your sister has a BBQ I insist on being there :D. I completely agree with the 3 day weekend !
ReplyDeleteHow I wish three day weekends existed every week! I thoroughly enjoyed my time too. The food looks so so so good! I'm really interested in that sandwich and pizza. I could probably eat the whole pizza by myself! I'm glad you had a great time!
ReplyDelete#1: I LOVE a good burger! And #2: OMG I have not been to a fair in a loooong time!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great Labor Day weekend celebrations. I love seeing pic of your family together. When times are tough, there's nothing better than family to lift up your spirit.
ReplyDeletePS - Love the first two pics of your sis and her fiance. Maryana you are next ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I'm on a healthy eating plan now so I might have to scroll quickly through any food pics instead of gawking and salivating like I normally would :-D.
