To the tree farm we go.

IMG_3737

It’s getting very Christmasy around these parts and I just love it. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

I’m getting into all the Christmas music, Christmas movies and all the festivities associated with Christmas. I love driving home in the evening and seeing all the houses decorated with lights and views of Christmas trees through big windows.

Sean really wanted to get a real tree this year and I was like, nah, let’s just do our fake tree. I guess, I just didn't want to be bothered. He said OK but that we needed to get a new one as we threw away our last tree before we moved to PA. I should have questioned this because it didn’t sound like something we would do but we went out and got a new one.

Of course, when we started to bring out our Christmas decorations there laid our old Christmas tree. We decided not to return the new tree since our old tree was purposely smaller to fit the size of our old house, and would look rather small in the space I wanted our tree to be. Luckily for me, it also meant that I would have two trees to decorate for the first time ever! I'm so excited about that. The old one is now residing in our family room and the new one in our sitting room.

Anyway, sharing that was really not the point of this post but of course I got carried away a little bit.

OK, on to the actual point of this post. Cinthia has only done real trees all her life, so when she asked me to go along with her while she picked out her tree, I could not say no. I brought my camera along because, Christmas trees!

Off to the tree farm we went and guys, I was blown away. The smell. Oh man, the smell. The trees were so beautiful. All shapes and sizes but I really loved the fat trees. The ones that looked like they had drank all the water. It was so much fun and now I am such a believer in the real tree hype. Next year, Sean and I are getting ourselves a big, fatty, real tree. When I told Sean about my experience, all he said was I told you so. Yup, babe, that you did and you were right. Don't y'all just hate when that happens.

Here’s pictures of our sunny Christmas tree hunting experience.
I would discuss this weather we're having but I already got off track once before...

- We got Cinthia's tree onto the roof of her car and wasted no time decorating when we got to her apartment.

Oh and a few weekends back we celebrated Cinthia’s birthday and had such a great time.

We ate, we shook our bootays and might have had a little too many shots of fireballs & glasses of holiday sangria because I woke up feeling like I would rather sleep all day. I figured that I might as well share these pictures in this post.

I hope that you all had great weekends and have wonderful weeks ahead.

  1. Girl! I would LOVE to go to a real Christmas farm. These pictures are awesome. Like Santa should be walking around signing autographs or something. And you ladies were smoking hot! :)

  3. I love all the decorated houses too <3. Every year I drive around looking at them in the rich neighborhoods, listening/singing christmas songs with coffee and my bff, now we take our kids. Silly, but fun :)

LOL @ had two fake Christmas trees. Just sell them both on Craigslist, so you're forced to get a read one every year ;) . I have a fake tall and skinny one, since it first perfect in the corner of the livingroom (and we don't open presents at my house anyway). The tree farm looks beautiful, I'm glad you too had fun :D

  6. Your tree looks beautiful!! We were going to get a real tree this year, but with moving and renovating it was easier just to stick with the artificial tree we've always used in our apartments. Next year we are getting the real thing!

  7. How fun!! We are not getting a tree this year. We have always done real, but I think I will be ready for a fake one next year.
