What I'm Loving Wednesday

I’m loving that for Sean’s birthday weekend we are heading to Montreal with some friends.

I’m loving that we are in the 50s today! 55 to be exact! ♥

I’m loving that Forever 21 had some crazy deals a few weeks ago. 50% off of already reduced items! I got sweaters for $7.00, jewelry for .99 and comfortable shoes for $8.00! Thrift store prices which is awesome to me since we all know that I suck at shopping at thrift stores.

I’m loving that in a few weeks, Sean and I will officially be together for 6 years! Don't you just love how happy he looks to be with me? Ha.

I’m loving that we’re halfway there, OOOO, living on a prayer. No, I mean, I’m loving that there is only 2 more days until the weekend.

I'm loving this outfit! Courtesy of Kacie's Kloset.

I'm loving Friday Night Lights on Netflix. Thanks Caroyln for the recommendation. Although, I shouldn't be surprised since we're the same person and all. Such a good show!

I'm loving that I am a part of this giveaway with a fabulous group of women. And while you're at it, why don't you enter? :)

What are you loving?!

Fashion World, I have two words for ya ....

You want to know what has been irritating me about fashion lately?
No?
Well, I’m going to tell you anyway.

One day something is in and then the next day it's out. It’s like if you want to keep up you have to spend everything you have. Well, that doesn’t work for me because this chica does not have a money growing tree. Take the fabulous bubble necklace for instance. It was all the rage and now you are "so not in" if you are caught wearing it.

The problem is that I still adore my yellow and turquoise bubble necklace. And I refuse to have them sit in a corner talking about how sad they are because the fashion world decided they are out.

I don’t care what the fashion world says. If I still like it, I’m gonna wear it.

What would you like to tell the fashion world besides, screw you?

And because today is good ole Tuesday, I'll share what I'm wearing today.

{Tunic & Jeans: Old Navy - Necklace & Bracelet: Forever 21 - Boots: JCPenney - Bag: Macys}

What are you wearing today?

Just What The Doctor Ordered

This weekend was just what the doctor ordered because I am feeling so much better. I didn’t do much besides lay on the couch and watch One Tree Hill. Best part is that I don't even feel lame sharing this.

I’ve been watching One Tree Hill on Netflix for months and finally on Sunday I finished the 187th episode. After it ended, with tears streaking down my face, I became sad when it dawned on me that this was it. It was all over. If you have Netflix and haven’t watched One Tree Hill, I highly recommend. I loved getting home and watching a few episodes a night. Now I need to find another television show to watch. Any recommendations?

I think the most exciting thing to happen to me this weekend was this:

OMG, soooo good! It’s my new favorite. It took all my willpower not to devour the entire container. I’m proud to report that half of it still remains.

The weather got up to a whole 27 degrees yesterday. Today it will get up to 30 degrees. Heat wave! ;)

How were your weekends? I need to live vicariously through some of you.

Be sure to enter this fabulous giveaway! 6 prizes, 6 winners! I don’t know what it is but shopping for my blogging friends is almost as fun as shopping for me. Almost ;).

Happy Monday! ♥

Yes, I'm complaining about the weather too.

This damn cold won’t go away.
Sean continues to kiss me and I keep telling him that I’m a germ.
He hasn’t gotten my cold, yet.
I bet he will get it as soon as mine goes away and then I’ll get it again.
You know I’m right.
I don’t want to do a thing this weekend because of this ridiculously cold weather.
Yes, I know. Everyone on the east coast is complaining about the weather.
But really, it is SO cold.
I get crazy allergies in the spring. But I’m at this point where I would rather wish I could take off my nose vs. deal with this weather.
All of you with nice, warm weather wish some my way.
If not, this weekend, you will find me on my couch, with hot cocoa and the fattest comforter I own, watching One Tree Hill on Netflix.
Trust me; this is not glamorous because I’ll also be coughing up my lung.
Have a great weekend, loves! ♥

p.s. don't forget to enter my first ever giveaway with some lovely ladies. 5 great prizes, 1 winner!

{Recipe} Baked Mac & Cheese

IMG_0778
A few of my readers have requested that I bring recipes back to this blog. And well, what the people want, the people get ;). I figured that I would bring the recipes back with a bang. Because really, is there a better bang than mac & cheese. It wasn't a question.

Ingredients:
IMG_0687
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (not pictured)
2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 package elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (to be honest I use more like 3 cups)
2 slices of Provolone cheese, cut into strips

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion for 3 minutes.
3. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
4. Stir in milk, salt and pepper; cook, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens.
5. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
6. To the milk mixture add the Cheddar and Provolone cheeses; stir until cheese melts. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce and then pour in a baking dish.
7. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

8. Stuff your face until you can't breathe. At least that's what I did.

Manual Mode.

I've been playing around with my camera and I have to say that I absolutely love it. Whilst the Nikon is a great camera it filled me with so much uncertainty because it wasn't user friendly. I mean, seriously. I couldn't even figure out how to get the kit lens on! That could be because of me and my brain but I had no problem putting the lens on my Canon. Since I am completely clueless when it comes to cameras and photography I need all the friendly behavior I can get. Don't tell Sean I said this but I'm happy my Nikon bombed, ha.

Here are a lot of pictures I took on manual mode, straight out the camera. I took some of these pictures in my backyard and then the last few indoors. If you didn't know that I'm obsessed with snow covered trees, now you do! Please excuse the boring and massive amount of pictures while I practice, that way one day (hopefully) I can share better pictures on this blog.
