One day something is in and then the next day it's out. It’s like if you want to keep up you have to spend everything you have. Well, that doesn’t work for me because this chica does not have a money growing tree. Take the fabulous bubble necklace for instance. It was all the rage and now you are "so not in" if you are caught wearing it.
The problem is that I still adore my yellow and turquoise bubble necklace. And I refuse to have them sit in a corner talking about how sad they are because the fashion world decided they are out.
I don’t care what the fashion world says. If I still like it, I’m gonna wear it.
And because today is good ole Tuesday, I'll share what I'm wearing today.

Right now? I'm wearing jeans, a fleece jacket, and my steel toe shoes. Oh the joys of "dressing up" for work, lol
ReplyDeleteThe bubble necklace is OUT already? Yeesh... I never keep up. I buy what I like. I actually hated the bubble necklace at first. But now I'm obsessed and I want more :) I just got my first one a few weeks ago. And I will still wear it proudly :)

Bubble necklaces should not go out of style... ever. They're a fun impact to an outfit! I'm wearing nothing special today... lol I'll share on Thursday. :)

ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard that bubble necklaces wear out... but I hate that too. I say if you love it wear it! Most people will think it's still in, and if one chick just read vogue and thinks its out now then that can be her problem :)

I just got my bubble necklace a month ago and I will NOT stop wearing it. I do not have style what so ever and the one that that I bought that was trendy, is no longer trendy? UGH! Whatever!

I love your philosophy when it comes to fashion and not just dropping clothes every single time there's a change in trend. Funny how you wear anything that you like and don't follow trends yet you're the one who looks glamorous as you always do, great post Faith, I love your big "screw you," to the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteThat's the key. Just make sure you are buying it because you really like it and not just because it's on trend. Which it sounds like you did! I didn't know bubble necklaces were "out". I never even got a chance to buy one!!

Speaking of which, I am also annoyed with the FW lately as apparently my beloved empire waist is out and that other waistline is in (the one that sits awkwardly between your boobs and stomach?)...so not a flattering look for me.
