I've been playing around with my camera and I have to say that I absolutely love it. Whilst the Nikon is a great camera it filled me with so much uncertainty because it wasn't user friendly. I mean, seriously. I couldn't even figure out how to get the kit lens on! That could be because of me and my brain but I had no problem putting the lens on my Canon. Since I am completely clueless when it comes to cameras and photography I need all the friendly behavior I can get. Don't tell Sean I said this but I'm happy my Nikon bombed, ha.
Here are a lot of pictures I took on manual mode, straight out the camera. I took some of these pictures in my backyard and then the last few indoors. If you didn't know that I'm obsessed with snow covered trees, now you do! Please excuse the boring and massive amount of pictures while I practice, that way one day (hopefully) I can share better pictures on this blog.
Good thing you're not following this blog for the photography. But of course, if you have any tips, I'm all ears!
These are great pictures Faith, I can't wait to see your pictures as you progress with your new camera xxxx
ReplyDeleteYay! Look at you in manual mode girl!! I have several photography (basics) blogs saved. When I get home I'll send them to you. Most of them use a cannon so it will be easier for you to read them. I had to figure out whatever they said in Nikon language haha.
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos Faith, I love how amazing the quality is already, that burger thing looks delicious too, so glad to hear that you really enjoyed the camera because the photo you're churning out are awesome!
ReplyDeletehow bad is it that I've had my Canon for almost 2 whole years and still rarely shoot out of auto mode? I hope to get a little better with photography BEFORE baby girl arrives!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. Can't wait to see more...

ReplyDeleteHope you're loving your new camera! Your pics are fabulous!
Uh, don't be posting close ups of breakfast sandwiches when people who might be stuck at work and starving might be perusing the 'ole blog. That's my tip. Take it to the bank.
ReplyDeleteI love my canon. And how do you know I don't come here for the photography? Now go forth and mess with that f-stop and shutter speed and iso girl. You got this.
This is SO great!! how exciting. I love the snow pics, beautiful. I am getting a t3i for my birthday in a couple of weeks and I simply cannot wait to just be all up in my kids faces all day long.

ReplyDeleteSomebody is having fun with their camera :)
ReplyDeletethat snow is gorgeous! have fun using your new camera :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the Nikon. I've had mine for a few years and have yet to try Manual. My resolution this year is to master that camera! I'm planning to do a post featuring tips from my photography friend. Hopefully that will help. In the meantime, you are doing great. These pictures look good!
ReplyDeleteYou took some great pictures girl! I'm worried about upgrading my camera one day and having to deal with these issues! I wouldn't be able to figure out how to put on a lens either!
ReplyDeleteNo more photos of snow please. It's snowing hard enough as it is over here. :(
ReplyDeleteMy photos still mostly turn out black on manual mode. What am I doing wrong???
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pictures!! You're making me so sad and jealous that I don't have a fancy camera too! haha
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!! Glad you are happy with your new cam!
ReplyDeleteI never shoot on manual, as I don't really care to learn. Ha! That's the neat thing about quality cameras like Nikon & Canon. It's so easy to take a pretty decent photo on the automatic setting.
ReplyDeleteNice snow photos! Have fun with your new camera! :)
I'm glad your're liking your new camera and taking the time to play around with the settings. Did you ever take photography courses or are you learning through trial and error?
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you Faith, your pictures are awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of snow covered trees myself, so I'm loving all the pictures.
I'm back! LOVE your first photo. It could be on a wall, framed :) Can't wait to see all of your photos with your new camera.
