My New Fashion Addiction

I didn't think that anything could be better than skinny jeans! Lo and behold, I have found something!

JEGGINGS!!!

They make me happy! Seriously.

Skinny jeans were awesome but sometimes I would have to do a little adjusting to ensure that they sat just right inside of my boots. Now all that adjusting is old news.

When I first heard about jeggings I was a bit hesitant. How in the world were they going to make leggings look like jeans? I don't know how they did it but they did.

I bought my first pair at American Eagle. They were perfect. I just bought another one at Gap and they are perfect. I have a feeling I might have to purchase 7 more pairs because I am sure they will be perfect too.

I need want the following two jeggings in my life.

{found here}

My boots have never looked better tucked inside my jeans. I am adding jeggings to my Christmas list.

Have my fabulous friends tried jeggings? And if so, what do you think?

My feet still ache from Thanksgiving Day.

The day started early. My two little sisters and my nephew spent the night with us. I was surprised I was up so early because we were up until 3 in the morning watching The Notebook, yet again. I can watch that movie a million times and still be excited to watch it again.

The day before, I cleaned the turkey hardcore with salt and water. After the cleaning, I seasoned the turkey with seasoned salt and placed it back in the fridge.

Around 11am, my mother in law, sisters in law, nephews and niece by marriage came. My MIL brought her roaster oven to roast one of the turkeys, to take some of the stress away. Bless her heart! It was so much fun prepping together.

Sean works Thanksgiving Day (Boo to Target! I love Target except for the holidays). So, it was me running around with my head cut off. His mom brought a sense of peace though.

I made the seasoning for one of the turkeys about an hour and a half before my inlaws arrived. I did it the way my mom has always done it (with a bit of a remix because that's how I do) and my MIL did the other turkey the way she does it.

For those of you curious about how I did the turkey here goes. The seasoning I made consisted of:

Some water, 1 green pepper, 2 red peppers, garlic, parsley, basil, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper and rosemary. I chopped up the green peppers and placed them in the blender (a little at a time) and blended away. After everything was blended, I poured the seasoning on top of the turkey, of course spreading it everywhere. I put it back in the fridge for about an hour and a half. Before placing it in the oven, I did the foil tent method to ensure that the turkey was moist, moist, moist! And it was! So yummy and tasty.

The only thing that went didn't go as planned was that my mom, dad, older sister and her husband were late! The weather was horrible and it delayed them. By the time they arrived Sean's family had to leave. That definitely was NOT the plan, but at the end of the day, I was so thankful that I was able to spend time with both of our families.

We didn't have a fancy table scape nor did all the chairs match. The food was put out in the kitchen, buffet style, but it was perfect AND we got to use our china, haha! Everything was delicious and to date it was my most favorite Thanksgiving Day!

Here are some pictures:

{I made sure to have a bunch of food in the house throughout the day since dinner wasn't going to be eaten until 530pm. I baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, put out a turkey pepperoni, cheese and cracker platter and made pizza rolls with turkey pepperoni. I am all about turkey on Thanksgiving Day! It was my first time making pizza rolls and they came out fantastic}

{The Turkey. The gravy underneath was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I wish I took more pictures of it.}

{And my even more fabulous mom. I always have to take a picture with her when she is leaving. I get so sad.}

Even though I just finished cleaning up, I want to do this again next year. Hmmm, I think I might be going crazy! Sorry for the big recap but I never want to forget this day! Hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving Day too! :)

**my mom was proud of me. she said that my turkey tasted almost as good as hers!**

Let's get back to that Vegas Vacation

Our Thanksgiving dinner was a blast and a huge success. I am a little tired and my feet are aching but it was worth it! I will recap that soon, of course, but let's get back to that vacay I took a few weeks ago.

*********************************************************************************

Friday night, we went to Tryst. Lucky for us, Colleen and I have a friend we went to school with who works at the Venetian as the manager of their concierge department. Because of his connections, he put us all on the guest list at Tryst. We did not have to pay to get in and we did not have to wait on the long line. We walked right in. It is not what you know but who you know! At least in Vegas.

Here are many pics of that fun night!

{We started the night in Colleen's room}

{And took some pictures in Planet Hollywood's very red (but cool) elevator}

Before going to Tryst we stopped at one of Wynn's cute bars. Tryst's drink prices are ridiculous so we had a few drinks there before paying $10 more for the same drink.

Then it was skipping the line and walking right into Tryst. It is the most amazing nightclub I have been to, yet.

{The hubs and I excited to take a pic in the reserved seating in Tryst}

{With the ladies}

{The gentleman in the glasses is the one who walked us right in. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!}

{love this picture!}

{Colleen told Sean to pose like me. I think he imitated me quite well}

This is us realizing it had passed midnight hours ago, so it was now our 1 year anniversary! Look @ those smiles! :)

{Sitting after dancing in my shoes for too long. It was such a fun night! I want to do it again!}

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year has been an absolute blessing and I am so thankful for that. I thank God for allowing this year to be as great as it is and will continue to be!

I am thankful that I have an amazing husband, beautiful family, an adorable fur baby and the best set of friends a girl could ask for.

I am thankful for my health. I am thankful that I have had a great job for over 3 years and have a beautiful house to go home to.

I am thankful that I woke up this morning with kisses from my husband telling me to have a great day. I am thankful that I was able to enjoy a great breakfast AND have a nice chat with my mom, on my way to work.

Can I also mention how thankful I am that Bristol did not win?? Yup, very thankful for that!

I am thankful for so much more but I have a feeling it would be the longest post in blog history!

I hope that you all have amazing Thanksgivings and that you remember to count your blessings, because you will be surprised to see that they actually outnumber the minor things that sometimes don't make sense.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fabulous followers friends!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

The hubs is enjoying the fact that he can lay in bed and watch television, while I clean. He is getting better so I will baby him for one and a half more days and then that's it! Hehe.

We are having both our families over to our house for Thanksgiving. I don't know what we were thinking. It is going to be crazy and our first time hosting Thanksgiving! 17 people in our small bungalow, oh boy! Let's hope we can seat everyone. I don't think anyone really wants to eat turkey standing up.

I am excited regardless. It is going to be nice to have my family and my in laws together, under one roof.

We have two turkeys in the fridge that my mom insisted had to be seasoned tonight. Unfortunately, they are still frozen so that isn't going to work. I didn't tell her because she would say I didn't listen, haha. I will do it tomorrow and pray she doesn't notice when she gets here.

I'm also hoping that my turkey(s) will end up looking like the golden, brown, delicious picture below, because if they don't I won't be able to share pictures. And you all know just how much I love to share pictures. Good thing, I have two chances to make it right, hehe.

Any who, I am going to be a busy bee (as I am sure everyone else will be) for the next few days so I just want to wish everyone a fantastic Thanksgiving Day.

Basket Case Wife Cont'd

Sean's game was in NYC this weekend. Those of you who guess that he played was correct. He did and his team lost by 1 point. They were devastated. All that hard work for 9 months to be let down by just 1 point. They won't go to Nationals in Florida. It sucked but there's always next year.

We stayed with my matron of honor, Stacy and her husband Bill. After the game, Stacy and I went to the mall to do a little shopping and then got a manicure. Bill and the hubs went to Quiznos to get lunch. The hubby hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and he was starving but he was perfectly fine.

I got a text at 1:40 from the hubs telling me that Stacy and I had to be home by 3pm to leave at 6pm. They were giving us 3 hours to get ready for the night. Not that we really need 3 hours, but, well, Stacy and I have a tendency to kinda waste time when we are together. We talk, do our makeup, talk some more, get dressed, talk, listen to music and dance, talk, do our hairs, talk, change our outfits. You get the point.

We went to the first mall and had to leave right away because a bomb threat had been made. Everyone had been evacuated and all entrances locked. We had no choice but to go to another mall. The second mall trip made our outing a little longer than planned.

We didn't reach the nail place until 3:05. The time we should have reached home. I checked my phone for missed calls or texts and was surprised to see that the hubs was not blowing me up. I just figured that he was having such a grand time with Bill that he was OK with us running late.

Around 3:45 we were done and rushed to Stacy's house.

Imagine my surprise when I walk into the house to see the hubs on the couch, looking like death. Immediately, I am worried and rush to him. He informs me that his stomach is killing him and that he has been throwing up. He thinks his lunch was bad. Of course, I blame rugby. I should have told him not to play. I know he wouldn't have listened but I could have made him. You know, give him a guilt trip.

A few minutes later, he is running to the garbage can and throwing up all over again. He is actually apologizing for vomiting. He looks horrible. I can't believe that in almost 4 years I've never seen him sick before, and within two days he has been in the ER and now this. I am rubbing his back and he just keeps going.

He tells me he feels a little better and that he will be able to make it to the city for dinner. He tells me he knows it will take Stacy and I forever to get ready, which would give him plenty of time to rest.

We start getting ready and I keep going back to him to make sure he is OK. I know he won't be able to make it out because of his body language and face. He doesn't want to admit it but finally he agrees that he can't go out. I want to stay with him.

He tells me to go out to dinner because he is just going to sleep. I had also made plans to meet up with another friend so he insisted that I not stand her up. I felt incredibly bad but ended up going out without him.

It was nice to be with my best girlfriends but I kept on thinking of him and sent him texts throughout the night. At one point, he asked me to stop because he needed to sleep. Haha, men.

Any who, here are some pictures of my night in NYC, without the beloved hubs.

{We went to this fabulous place called The Park}

{The picture the hubs should have been in}

It was a nice weekend but I would do anything to take away the hubby being sick. I know he would have had a great time and I would have enjoyed it more too.

He couldn't go in to work today but he is feeling better (and looking better), thank God! I just hope whatever it is, is gone before Wednesday. We have a lot to do, to prepare for hosting our first Thanksgiving.

Hope you all had great and healthy weekends!

Basket Case Wife

A few minutes after writing my post on babies, the hubby called me. I was a little surprised that I was getting a phone call so early because the hubs has rugby practice on Thursdays. He called to tell me that he was having chest pains so he was coming to get me that way we can go to the ER. At first, I thought he was joking but unfortunately he wasn't.

I started to panic. Was my athletic, healthy husband having a stroke or a heart attack? I know, a bit dramatic since he is young, but when your hubby is never sick and all of a sudden he feels he needs to go to the ER, you begin to think the worst.

I quickly put on some clothes and within minutes I was in the car and we were heading to the ER. I started to cry. I couldn't help myself. I was expecting the worst but the hubs was as calm as could be. I guess, he had no choice when he has a basket case for a wife.

We get there and I have to say that I am so impressed with the hospital. Within a few minutes, he was in a room and getting an EKG. They asked him so many questions and I was also impressed with how well he answered. How calm he appeared.

He had a chest X-ray and blood work done. I couldn't watch while they took his blood. I was so sad to see him lying in that tiny hospital bed knowing that he was nervous but was hiding it for me.

I was relieved to hear that he was not having a stroke or a heart attack. The doctor states that he must have gotten tackled wrong at the last game and that he should lay off of rugby for a few weeks until the chest pains go away.

They gave him Lortab and Naprosyn and we went on our merry relieved way.

We got home around 1am. Wearing puffy eyes to work is not a good look, so I went into work late the next day and the hubby didn't go to work at all. The doctor recommended he rest.

You all know that this weekend was their final game. What do you think he did?

I'll let you know soon.

Question answered by Yours Truly

I always say that I have the most fabulous followers friends. I sometimes read a comment you all leave and giggle. Hubs will walk in the office and see me giggling with the computer. He gives me that look of, "oh boy" but he walks away. He knows very well that I will defend any laughter that derives from a computer screen.

A few days I ago I received this comment ... and although it shouldn't make me giggle it did. This was the question:

"Did you go to Vegas and get baby brain by any chance? Hmmm..."

I am more than ready to answer this question. Are you ready for my answer?!

The answer is Hell to the Nahs! Haha ... not funny? OK, sorry. Going to Vegas is the last place on earth that I could ever get baby brain, hehe.

As much as I know that the hubs and I are going to have the absolutely most adorable, gorgeous, unbelievably intelligent, greatest assets to society type of children, we are just not ready to gift the world yet.

I know Mom, we have been married for "ONE.WHOLE.YEAR. What are you both waiting for?"

We are waiting. That's all. Nothing exactly for.

The thing is, a year ago we were like ... oh yea, the second year of marriage Faith will be popping a kid out. No question. But now that I see just how fast a year has flown I am kinda doing the backwards walk.

I am like wait, hold up (I just said that the way rappers do, fyi). In 11 months, I am suppose to start accepting the fact that we would start trying and then something could possibly be in my tummy moving around taking ALL of my nutrients, making me vomit (i hate to vomit), sometimes even have my nose bled (yes, I read this somewhere). And I am suppose to be ready for that?

I know that the aftermath is a beautiful, beautiful miracle. And I do hope to someday be a part of that miracle. Just not right now. Is that wrong? I hope not. I know that one day I am going to be an absolutely amazing mom. Who loves her children more than herself ... but not right now.

I change my mind very often so who knows? I might get baby brain tomorrow and decide that I just have to be a mother. Until then, I will continue to be content with my stud muffin of a husband and my kitty baby.

**But I promise that when I get baby brain, you all will be the first to know! See?! I am that fabulous of a friend! ;)**

I still want to go back to Vegas.

The next day, we had room service. That was nice AND lazy. After we gobbled breakfast we headed to the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign. We did it before but you can't go to Vegas and NOT do it, so we did it again.

{every once in a while my camera doesn't have PMS & actually takes a few good pics!}

{this is when you want a stranger to ask to take a crappy picture of you & your hubs, but then you realize you can actually do that yourself}

After that, we headed to the pool. We only went to the pool once. It seemed like a waste of time to relax in Vegas.

After that waste of time, we headed back out to walk the strip where I took a few touristy pictures:

And once in a while, I got a little naughty and took pictures of things that completely bothered me. Like this:

The one in the red costume waved at me when he saw that I had snapped his picture. I waved back, I kinda have no shame.

After the non-stop walking, we I decided that we needed to rest our feet before another night out! Stay tuned!
