We Were Meant To Be

Hi lovelies! Hope you all had amazing weekends. I did! :)

You all know that hubs and I decided on a $10 cap for our anniversary gifts this year. I liked doing it so much that I think we might continue it except for the big ones like the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, you get the gist. But the only reason is because I am sure I can't get a diamond for $10 and seriously after 10 years everyone deserves a diamond.

Any who, my amazing friend Tami gave me an incredible idea to buy cotton candy for hubs. And I was all about it. Hubs LOVES cotton candy so it was going to be the most perfect gift. Also, I was going to get to stuff my face with it and we all know that the best gifts to give are the ones we can use and eat too. Am I right or am I right? ;)

Well, I went searching. And searching. And more searching. No luck. My heart was broken because now I had NO idea what to get.

I decided to head into Target and walk up and down the aisle until something hit me. And I ended in the section full of slippers. Soft, cotton slippers. Perfect for the weather we will be getting any moment. I found hubs size and I was off. Happy that I had something, sad that I won't be enjoying cotton candy later.

Hubs opened his gift first.


And the first thing out of his mouth was, "Are you kidding me?" Of course, immediately, I am thinking, What a jerk! Who says that outloud?! So I go, "What do you expect for $10?!"

He goes, "No, no, no. Open yours. You'll understand."

I open mine and inside are a pair of leopard cotton slippers. {maybe it isn't really cotton but no need to tell him that, ha}


We start to laugh and look at each other like we are little freaks that need to be locked away.

I think this says it all. We were meant to be.
