nag, nag, nag

sometimes i nag Sean. i know that is hard to believe since i am so perfect and all.

but yeah, i do.

sometimes i can’t help it.

like when he leaves the door unlocked and you have told him a million and one times how bad it is for him to do so.

and how it scares you because you have watched way too many shows where a person gets chopped up into little pieces because their door was unlocked.

you would think that would phase him. the thought of his lovely wife all chopped up into little pieces.

but no.

it doesn’t.

every night i have to check the door and at least three times a week it is left unlocked. and what happens after i find the door unlocked.

nag, nag, nag.
nag, nag, nag.

he must like it. it must turn him on because he doesn’t stop.

what world did he grow up in that it was OK to leave the doors unlocked?

not my world.

but i love him.

until tonight, when i see that the doors are unlocked.

nag, nag, nag.
nag, nag, nag.

oh and don't feel bad for him.

you see that picture below.

he is making fun of the way i pose for pictures.

  1. I'm nuerotic about making sure the door is locked so I feel ya. Chris has actually caught me sleep walking and he says i always check the door. Our house was broken into 8 times when I was a kid. 3 times through my room and once while i was asleep in my room!

  2. Ryan does the same thing. I hate it. I have the same fear of someone just walking through my front door and killing me. It would be so easy since he left the door unlocked. We live in a small town, (where nothing really happens) but one day it could happen.

  3. Ha! Oh husbands, gotta love 'em. When I nag on Nate, he just gives me this same exasperated look on his face like, "Yesssss okay I know". Hahaha.

  5. I'm pretty sure it's a wife's right to nag her husband! :)

We're both very good about locking the door - even though we don't need to. We live so far out in the middle of nowhere - no one even comes to our house for Trick or Treating.

  6. hahahaha. i'm the same way. even if i know the door is locked, i will go and make my husband check the lock again even if we are already in bed. i'm paranoid. but really. too many scary shows.

  7. I would totally nag too if I were in your shoes! We live in a condo..so..there's only one real door to lock. That's such a cute picture of you two..despite your husband's shenanigans! lol

  8. Cute photo Faith, I get kind of weird when it comes to doors being locked and unlocked though so don't feel bad for nagging, like you say, maybe Sean kind of likes it!

  9. I think that is nagworthy behavior! :) I try not to be a control freak about my husband. It usually lasts 20 minutes before I have to boss him around.

I'm sure he doesn't mind the 'nagging'. It's all about having a wife. (I do the same thing)

  12. I call it a "reminder" instead of nagging :) I "remind" andy of things all the time!

  13. ahhaha. "it must turn him on". so THAT's why dan never puts his crap away in the "basket" that I gave him. yes, he gets one basket. for all of his crap laying around the house.

  14. Ahhhh Derek too!! I'm always Nagging him: turn off the lights, close the garage door, lock the door, etc. I'm sure I sound like a big ole nag but I'm glad to hear its guys in general and not just my husband lol!!

  15. AGH Ronnie does the same thing! I especially hate when he leaves to run errands and leaves me and the baby in an unlocked house. I always have to go check and lock the door after him. I NEVER forget to lock a door!! Keep nagging him, girl - it's for your own safety!! lol.. And LOVE the picture! haha

  16. Funny you say this because Matt didn't lock the back door the other night (after he took out the trash) and he blamed me for it. I was all, "hells no, boy! You were the last one out!"

And according to Matt I nag a lot....I mean come on, dude. I've only been asking you to clean the office for 3 months! I protested that office until Sunday and I could just not take it anymore and caved in and cleaned it. Dang it. I'm weak when it comes to messes!

  17. we all do that from time to time. why do we do that? i can so place myself in this post, i can ask him a million times to do it and a million and one times he won't do it. p.s. you always look familiar to me and then i realized you look similar to one of my husband's track athletes. she is so sweet and bubbly and very cheery, i can imagine you are just like her!

  18. Too funny! I have things I nag Graham about, too. I'm always trying to be better about it. Thankfully, he's just as neurotic as me about keeping the door locked. :)

  19. I'm really bad at remembering to lock the door which is awful and I'm really bad at nagging my husband about other things! I do try to hold back though. The door things is a very valid reason for nagging though (unlike clothes on the floor!) since it's a safety issue.

  20. I nag my husband about stuff all the time. He gets annoyed, tells me to stop, so I do. Guess what happens? NOTHING gets done! I point that out and begin nagging again lol

  21. LOL you two are too funny! My hubby locked me out for an hour yesterday and was surprised I was crabby after... weird :)

    XOXO

  22. haha I am SO like this! But I usually wait until we are snuggled in bed to remember to ask The Husband if his truck is locked...then he has to get out of bed and make sure. If nothing else your sweet pup barking would probably be deterrent enough =) that's what I tell myself anyway =)

  23. You should do something that reeeeally annoys him. Maybe then he'll get the point :) (How immature am I?)

  24. What's wrong with the way you pose for pictures?!

I totally understand the unlocked door thing. I check the doors every night too.

  25. You crack me up! "It turns him on"...I'm so going to use that with my hubs next time! Genius! And by the way- I love how you pose for pictures! Too cute!

  26. It's okay Faith, I think the husbands need us around to nag them. I love your yellow and white outfit below lady. You guys have so many pics together. I really need to start taking more pics with Josh. You've inspired me.

  27. lol...as always funny! i think hubbies actually love when we nag nag nag!!! and i love how he is mocking you in the picture..something my hubby would do!

  28. my hubs is a police officer and would never leave our door open... even though we do live in a pretty safe area. it just comes with the job i guess, to expect the bad things to happen.... but i think there's always something we nag the husbands about :)

  29. You guys are so cute! Rickey says he locks the door every night...but he doesn't. I always have to check behind him. SMH LOL

  30. FAITH!!! This is the EXACT SAME ARGUMENT me and the hubs have! He NEVER locks the doors! Granted, he has lived here for like 10 years before I moved in, and he never not once locked the doors. Now that I am here? I make sure we lock them! We live in serial killer land!!

  31. Living in Brooklyn, i'd hurt my hubs if he left the door open, but Lord knows theres lots more I nag him about!! :) um that hair! WERK!

  32. I nag BM too...about all types of things. I am OCD about checking our doors too.

  33. This made me laugh! I can't tell you how many times I've laid don't in bed and had the strong imprssion to go check the locks, and found it unlocked! Or one house we lived in had a sliding glass door and it looked locked but when I pulled on it, it slid open! Yikes! So grateful for those promptings.

  34. There is NOTHING wrong with Skinny Arm!!! haha Clinton leaves the garage light on and leaves cupboards and drawers open which annoys me like crazy. I leave the faucet dripping....
