I've Been A Slacker

I had goals the beginning of this year, to get back to my wedding weight but I haven't given it my all.

When I was suppose to choose salad for dinner, I chose pizza.

When I was suppose to choose brown rice for lunch, I chose pasta.

When I was suppose to choose an apple for a snack, I chose a snicker bar.

Based on this, you can tell that my eating healthy goal is not going very well.

I am a little a lot disappointed in myself because I know that if I would just choose the better options, I would have been at my wedding weight by now.

I think I'm finally ready to accept that I need to really take responsibility for what I eat.

I am even thinking of writing an apology letter to my body soon. I was at the gym and got the idea in one of those Shape magazines. It hit me that I pretty much suck.

The one thing I have down is exercising. I love to exercise BUT I also love to eat junk food. I hope to be singing a different tune by the end of this year. Wish me luck to get back to that girl {minus the Snooki wannabe hairstyle}!

  1. Sometimes I think I should try to incorporate a bit of junk food in my diet. I feel all the time like I'm missing out. But I'm so conditioned that even now while I'm pregnant I would rather eat fruit than try something bad. I know you can do it girl you have the determination and perserverance of a tiger. You're gonna get there!
Love the outfit in the pic!

  4. It doesn't matter how often someone tells you that you are gorgeous, which you are, or that they'd kill to have your body if ultimately you aren't happy with it. You recognize the problem and only you can fix it. Don't beat yourself up over it too much. Everything is good in moderation! You still rock those short shorts and dresses so I say keep doing what your doing and cut back on some things! XOXO!

  7. Faith you do not suck! You are gorgeous. Sure, we would all love to lose weight, but sometimes loving ourselves the way we are is most important thing! (I know, easier said than done). But you are stunning.

  9. I'm way guilty of making bad choices but usually not for too long so things don't get out of hand. It's too bad exercise isn't enough! Or that we could pick-do we want to eat right or exercise? Too bad it has to be both. I think you can eat right and not exercise and lose but not the other way around unfortunately. It generally comes down to the food. You can definitely do it. Mind over matter!

  10. Well I think you look amazing as you are...it must be all that exercising! Props to you for being motivated and self-disciplined. Pizza..snickers..pasta.....they are SO hard to say no to!

  11. You can do it!! :) At least you have the exercise down! I have to work on both aspects. HAHA

Side note - I think you're a stunner just the way you are too!

  12. You already look great and I am sure you'll look even more fabulous by the end of the year. Goodluck!

I'll be starting my own weight loss once I have the baby. I wasn't at my ideal weight before I got pregnant so with each additional pound, I cringe knowing fully well that's an additional 3500 calories I'll have to cut to lose it after.

  13. Good luck girl. I believe you can do it. A little determination will do the trick.

Waiting to read your apology letter to your body , lol!

  14. You can do it! Sounds like you know exactly what to do but the most challenging part is doing it. That's my issue too. :)

  15. you still look great. but i'm in a chronic disease class now and it made me paranoid that i need to eat better. so if you can do it i can do it. i'm right here with you girl. also, i want to get back to my wedding weight. thats 10 pounds by the end of the year, i can manage. also, breaking bad, been watching that lately too. haha.

  16. Good luck!!! I'll be trying to do it right along with ya! Yesterday was my first day back to the gym and it was pathetic. I thought I was going to die. LOL

  17. Good Luck Sweets! I'll be cheering you on in the eating department, if you give me some of your exercise motivation. LOL I love your style! You're always dressed so cute. Can I get a style lesson or 23432? ;-P

  18. I'm right with ya. Minus the good at exercising part. Seriously, this girl needs to hit the gym AND revamp her diet! Good luck to you--next time you want to eat a Snickers, just stop and think to yourself "what wouldn't Christine do? not eat the candy bar", and do that. ;)

  19. Based on recent pics you've posted I think you look awesome, but I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goal! Losing weight is HARD! I was 5lbs from my wedding weight when L was around 6 months old and it was because he was breastfeeding so often. I've gained a bit back since then and I am trying to lose it now. Making healthy food choices sucks :(

  20. I think that you're being way too over critical on yourself and even though that's not always a bad thing you shouldn't feel too bad. You look awesome in these photos and like you say you are exercising so it's not like you're being lazy and putting no effort in, best of luck with everything all the same though Faith.

  21. I am the same when it comes to junk food -- don't get me wrong, I love eating healthy but at the same time I can make really bad food choices too. And I'm no where near as motivated as you are with exercise. Good luck girl!

  22. How much are you wanting to lose? Can't be that much! You look great! Don't get down on yourself! We all get a little slack in the eating department, I have been too. Just takes a few days to get back into the swing of things!

  23. I had a whole long comment I wanted to type but I think I'll just say this --> you know what you need to do so just do it :)

I got your back so let me know what I can do to support you!

  25. Good God do I know this feeling all too well! It will be alot of work but you can do it! Atleast you have one half accomplished, the exercising!

  26. I gotta tell you Faith, I think you look absolutely amazing! I am super jealous that you can eat ice cream and arby's and look as amazing as you do in a bikini (i sent you a private message on Facebook telling you this but I know you don't check that often). Anyway, I know better then anyone how it feels to feel disgusted with yourself and to always be thinking "how much better life would be if I was skinny... blah blah blah" but I LOVE that you enjoy life and you enjoy food... and you still look amazing to boot!

  27. I know this is hard because I've been there and will be going there soon after the baby but the way I am looking at it after the baby is a lifestyle change...so
Instead of just exercising and trying not to eat junk food...I will live a healthy lifestyle and hopefully that will all turn out in the end. Don't be too hard on yourself...things will fall into place:-)

  28. I could NOT agree MORE! I need to get back in shape - but unlike you, I completely despise exercising. I think you'll be back to your wedding weight in no time with your determination and hard work :)

  29. Yessss!!!!! I love this post. I loved "I pretty much suck," lol. Thats pretty much how I feel about myself and I'm giving myself til the end of the year to get my body the way I want it too! WE.CAN.DO.IT!

  30. I feel ya on the needing to get healthy! But girl you do NOT need to lose any weight! I saw you in a bathing suit in that last post and you looked HOT HOT HOT! Get it girl! I was thinkin... man if I could only look like her in a bathing suit! So there you go... someone wishes they looked like you. You are beautiful either way, Faith!

  31. Good luck Faith! I'm sure you will reach your weight goals. I just got caught up on your blog and I really enjoyed reading your post about being positive. I love your beach outfit and that Sean is such a rebel and jumped in the ocean anyways. Have a great weekend lady!

  32. Girl...Cool Ranch Doritos & Twix bars...

You are not alone in your love for junk foods.

While I'm good at balancing healthier options with the junk, I suck at exercising.

Best of luck to you in your goal!

  33. I have such a hard time when it comes to food moderation...

  34. You already know that I can totally agree with your struggle, its hard but definitely not something that you cant do. Once you get in the right mental space things get so much easier. I am sure that you will get back to your wedding weight in no time.
