Weekend Recap

This weekend, Sean and I had the pleasure of traveling to Scranton, PA to meet Jessica and Ken. I was anxious leading up to it as we were basically meeting strangers. Sean's co-workers kept on teasing him that his wife was crazy and how did I know that we were not arranging to meet serial killers.

Luckily for us, I did not arrange for Sean and I to meet serial killers.

I'm not going to lie and say that it wasn't awkward because at first it totally was. But after our walk through the ghetto to get Mexican food it helped to break the ice.

We learned that if you decide to have a blog date that didn't happen in your town, you just might have to research said town because if not, you could be meeting in a small town that didn't have a huge mall, which was the case for us.

We did manage to find the most delicious Mexican restaurant to eat at. It was nothing to look at from the outside or the inside but the food was oh so good.

I'll say that it was a success. Jessica and Ken, it was nice to finally meet you!

Here are a few pictures from our blate:

{This is the area we walked to get our Mexican food. It was darn good Mexican food!}

When we were driving home we decided to stop and say hello to my little sister and my nephew since there was no way I was going to pass on by their town knowing that there is an adorable little boy who will shriek when he sees me. My sister was so happy and surprised to see me. Her reaction made my whole week!

{The little love of my life}

{He was more concerned with playing in his little pool with his little friends. So cute!}

When we finally got home, we decided to meet up with some friends for some drinks and wings. I had the most amazing drink ever. The bartender whipped it up for me so it did not have a name. I made sure to get the recipe because it was so, so, so good. 2 shot Malibu rum, 3/4 shot blue Curacao and a splash of lime and pineapple juice. You're welcome.

Hope you all had fabulous weekends! ♥

  22. I love how people still think when you meet people off the internet, they're going to be serial killers. That cracked me up. Out of all the people I've met online over the years, I think only one was serial killerish. (o;
