Last, Last Weekend.

*** Let me begin this post by saying that I want the old blogger interface. I have no idea how to work this thing. I was still confused with the old one but I had gotten it down somewhat. Now I have to start all over and I'm not liking the way my post are publishing.

Blogger, words from the wise: If it's not broke for Faith don't fix it ***

****************

Friday, we were a tad bit drained so we decided to have a quiet night in. We went to our favorite pizza spot and had pizza for dinner.

When we got home I decided that I wanted to bring out our fall decor so into the basement we went. I was disappointed to find that our cat had gotten into some of the boxes making them fall. So there were a lot of broken glass and decorations that I had to throw away.

To think that just last year I said that most likely we wouldn't have to purchase anything new for Fall decor and Christmas since we had enough. Well, not anymore.

I'll be sure to do a Fall decor post but I must tell you that if you've been following me for a long time, you've already seen it.

After dinner, we watched "The Help" finally. This wasn't a movie that Sean thought he was going to enjoy so he was on the laptop not truly paying attention. Well, I guess, when you hear your wife gasp, cry, scream at the TV you figure it might be something good. He admitted that it was an incredible movie. And it was. Wow. I kinda want to do a whole post on it regarding my thoughts because it is a movie that everyone must see.

It just amazes me that it wasn't so long ago and well, I never really talk race on this blog but obviously it is a subject that touches Sean and I's life together. All I will say right now {just in case I do not blog further about the movie} is that I can't stand ignorance.

On Saturday, I spent the whole day at my girlfriend's home helping set up for her son's first birthday party. It was rugby themed and was so much fun. To think that at one time all I was doing was going to weddings and bridal showers. Now it's baby showers and first birthday parties. Oh how things have changed.

{The 4th picture is a true example of the colors of my outfit. My camera really isn't acting the best at home and my pictures came out blurry hence the cropped out face}

{Top: H&M - Pants & Earrings: Forever 21 - Booties: Bakers - Necklace: Francesca's}

{I wish Sean was able to go because I would have made him put his face in the bottom hole}

{And now I'm convinced that smash cakes are the most hilarious thing ever. As long as they the cake does not get in the child's eye. Oh and you see that cut on the side of his left eye. He had gotten it just minutes before cake time.}

On Sunday, I made a lasagna due to life, love & puppy prints blog post and it was incredible. Hubs raved about it and licked his plate. Win.

I also went shopping with my girlfriend Nicole. This is what I wore:

{Top, Earrings & Necklace: Forever 21 - Shorts: American Eagle - Booties: Bakers}

We might have spent a little too much time in Old Navy because when we finally left Old Navy and went into Forever 21 the fitting rooms were closed. I found a lace romper that I felt would be perfect for Vegas so I bought it without trying it on even thought I never do that unless I'm buying online. Imagine my happiness when I got home and tried it on and it fit perfectly.

It was a really nice weekend.

This week, I hope to post my relaxing weekend, my girlfriend's wedding, her bridal shower which happened in MAY! And I'm sure other things.

♥♥♥

I also wanted to thank you all so much for your words regarding Sean's aunt and my last post. They are truly appreciated. I hope you all have great weeks.

xoxo.

  1. What a fun weekend! That lasagna is making my mouth water as we speak. YUM! And the pizza too. Uh, is it dinner time yet? And leave it up to cats to go and break things in boxes! Atleast now you have an excuse to buy more! See, your kitty did you a favor! : )

  2. Pizza, Lasagna...yum!!! Especially that Pizza. I love The Help. It was so good and I became angry during parts of the movie b/c of the ignorance. A rugby theme-so creative. Bummer Sean couldn't be there. It's been baby shower's and 1 y/o B Day parties for us too! I'm a big one for trying on every single little thing too b/c I don't want to have to go back to the store-glad you don't have to.

  4. These photos are just awesome Faith, it seems like you had a seriously good weekend! That pizza actually looks out of the world which is awesome, I'd love to try it but I guess there's nowhere else in the world that would do it just like they do because every place seems to do things a little different than the last.

    "Blogger, words from the wise: If it's not broke for Faith don't fix it.""

    This is so true, especially for Matthew as well haha. People on my blog were all telling me how they kept it changed months ago but I just refused to change and now I'm stuck with it and have no idea how everything works, it really sucks!

  12. I want to see The Help! We finally watched The Hunger Games this weekend. I begged Jeff to take me while it was in theaters, but he really didn't want to see it (I got him back by refusing to go see the new Batman in theaters). I've also been trying to get him to read the books because I KNEW he'd like them. Guess who loved the movie and now wants to read the books? Yup, Jeff! He really should learn to listen to me lol

  17. Pizza, lasagna and a candy bar? Success all around. Plus you are such a dollface Faith. I mean that in the "Dang you're so adorable!" way. But in my house I totally said it out loud with my best gangster voice four times. And now Phin is running around the living room, buck naked, mimicking me. So picture that for a second.

  23. Um lady - you're looking skinny! I remember from a while back you posted about being healthier. Whatever you're doing is working! Love the outfits. Especially the first one.

    Have fun decorating! We're moving at the end of October, so I decided there isn't really a point in me decorating right now. It makes me so sad; I normally put up my Halloween stuff in the middle of September. Oh well. I'll just have to make Christmas even more special. :)

    I've yet to see "The Help". Every person I know (that has seen it) recommends, but I just don't know...
    Honestly, it's hard for me to get excited about "race movies".

    Boots with shorts...Yes! I can't wait to pair those two again.

    Your Fall decor looks nice! I usually just bring in some leaves from outside & stick them in a glass vase. It works! LOL

  35. GIRL, I feel the SAME way about this new blogger. me + new blogger = NOT friends.

    Now pizza on the other hand, is my BFF.

    LOVED The Help! I kinda want to read the book. BUT, I'm always scared to read the book version after I've already seen the movie because I end up NOT liking the movie.

    Seriously? I need to get to H&M stat. Everybody has posted pictures of the CUTEST clothes from there recently..
