What I'm Loving Wednesday

I’m loving that my little sister Priscilla emailed me yesterday to say that she will be in my neck of my woods this weekend. I told her that we I can’t spend money because vacation is in 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS! But she is more than welcomed to spend her money on me. I even gave her a little list of things we could do for free: make delicious meals in my little kitchen, take Izy for a walk, watch movies I already owned or some Netflix, go to the mall and window shop. She stopped me right there and said, “Seriously? You window shopping?! When was the last time you did that?” She is so right so that was crossed off the list. I guess, there aren’t too many fun things one can do for free. Too bad I want to spend all my money in Vegas on Roulette.

I’m loving that my sister Emma has picked the most perfect name for my niece. It is so different and because of that I can’t share it. I mean, we all know about baby name stealers. But when baby _________ is born, I’ll let you know, obviously. Goodness, I’m a great sister.

I’m loving that a lot of you mentioned that I’ve lost some weight and indeed I have. I’ve been taking it seriously y’all {I can be Southern for a day if I want}. Yeah, I have cupcakes and sometimes eat a lot of pasta {but in my defense I’ve been eating whole grain pasta} and have more than one glass of wine but I’ve been taking it seriously. I’m down 12 pounds now and it’s the lowest I’ve been in 2 years! Pretty exciting. I think the secret has really been portion control and calorie counting and not inhaling ice cream on the daily.


I’m loving that Vegas is in two weeks. I’m so excited! I need a vacation and badly.

I’m loving that it’s already Wednesday. The last few weeks have been flying for me. Kinda nice and kinda scary at the same time. Time really is flying.

I’m loving that hubs and I have been discussing future children lately and for the first time I don’t feel like someone is squeezing my lungs or punching my beer gut. Wait? Can you have a beer gut if you don’t drink beer? Any who, that my friends is true progress.
