Auction Fun Was Had By All

So I didn't leave y'all hanging. The auction happened. And I won. He went for 75 big ones.

Because I won, I get a date. With my husband. For free. Well, kinda, sorta, since I bought him and all. I'm thinking we may go on our fancy date next weekend. I'll be sure to blog about it, of course. I'm also thinking that I should make him clean with nothing on and watch him scrub the floors. But seriously, there is nothing attractive about that. I just feel like I should make him do something since I bought him, ha.

While everyone was walking out to songs like, "I'm too sexy for my shirt" and "Sexy and I know it." Sean came out to a song by Slayer. I have never laughed as hard as I did. It was horribly fantastic. If there was a mosh pit, Sean would have been carried around before head-butting the ground.

It was an incredibly good time. We were also advised that because it turned out so successful they will make it an annual thing.

Here are some pictures from my phone.

{Top: Express - Earrings: Macys - Necklace & Leather Leggings: Forever 21 - Boots: JCPennys}

Sean was nervous. Good look for him.
The women's team and the men's team were both auctioned off.

Here they are asking him, "Why are you so crazy?" No, I'm kidding. They didn't ask him that but I'm sure they wanted to.

Sometimes I stare at Sean, (you know in that creepy, wife way) and I think to myself. Wow, I really married this guy. This rugby loving, hard metal playing, booty short wearing (rugby thing if you didn't know), mosh-pit diving guy. When they say opposites attract they weren't kidding. And then I think, you know what, I'm ridiculous too. Maybe we aren't so opposite after all.

Happy Thursday!
xoxo ♥

  5. So cute! :) So glad you won him so I didn't hear about a murder caused by stiletto. :) Have fun on your hottie date! Oh - and totally make him do chores around the house. Maybe with the bootie shorts on?... HAHA

  6. ahahahaha those damn booty shorts!!! Rickey wears tights under during games so he gets this ridiculous tan...so last summer he decided that every day we went to the pool he would wear JUST his rugby shorts...and yes he did...every day! LOL I never thought I would ever be in love with a guy who wears shorts as short as mine... *SWOON*
YAY you won! I lost Rickey to our club's president's wife :-) She made him wash her car in front of all her friends in his rugby shorts, no shirt, while she and 4 of her friends (me included) hooted and hollered LMAO. it was so awesome!

  12. These photos are awesome Faith, it's good to see that you won the date and didn't let anybody else get him, that's quite expensive too so I'm guessing he was popular on the night!

  13. I was wondering if you won him! Nobody better outbid you lol!! That man cleans up well :)

  14. Haha I love that you won and you were worried you wouldn't! As a previous poster said, I doubt anyone could outbid you (with your determination)! It's great the event raised so much money and they're thinking of doing it next year.

  19. Damn it! I was hoping you lost so you could blog about how you had to beat a woman with your shoe... ;)

I would totally make my hubs serve me all my meals while half-naked...and possibly do a strip-tease for dessert...cuz I'm inappropriate like that!! ;)

  20. How fun! - and BTW (this will be an overshare) there is nothing sexy about a guy cleaning in nothing haha. I was sick one weekend and when I walked out of the bedroom, there was my husband - cleaning in nothing but flip flops...yeah it was ridiculous and I laugh every time I think about it =)

And I totally do the creepy wifey stare sometimes to my hubby! =)

  21. Hahaha I love that he walked out to a Slayer song. That's exactly what Garrett would do! Oh, our heavy metal loving husbands! I am glad you won, and that you posted about it, I was wondering! I always think that Garrett and I are so opposite too but when I really think about it we aren't really that different. We have different interests and personalities, but we are both weird and crazy and silly!

  23. How FUN!! I would have paid all the money for my husband! (my jealous side couldn't really handle any other outcome) and yes honey opposites surely do attract!

  24. LOVE this post! Particularly the part about making him clean naked. Because that's something I would think of making my husband do, and then think better of it because ew. haha Cleaning clothed is sexy enough, thank you.

I'm glad you won the auction, and there were no women hospitalized with stiletto-induced-injuries. ;)

  29. I just took a trip back in time and checked out what 2012 was like for you. Great post lady. I love the pictures of you and your sisters all smiling and of course the ones with you and Sean.

This event looked like it was such a great time. You are hilarious wanting to make Sean do something since you bought him! Keep us posted on your date. What a fun way to raise money.

  30. So cute. The event looks fun.

I love your necklace btw! Well, I always love your fashion choices.

You guys are only opposites in the superficial ways. You're totally sympatico in all the ways that matter. I do the same creepy wife thing with John. LOL. glad i'm not alone in that.

  36. Hahaha! You both are uber adorable. And I was JUST talking to my friend about how opposites really DO attract and it actually helps bring a much needed balance (though getting balanced is sometimes so infuriating!).
