Weekend ♥

Friday night, Sean and I decided to go to his hometown to use a gift certificate that our realtor sent us as a Christmas gift. Since Sean told me that the restaurant is quite nice, I knew that I was going to bring my big girl camera. Imagine my tantrum sadness when I realized that my camera was not being her big girl self.

I contacted the all too powerful Google and found that I had been given a lemon. I was not the only one who had the issue so instead of sending the camera to Nikon to have them fix it, I decided to return it. After a few texts and emails with a few blogger friends it was decided that I would get a Cannon Rebel. Well, those amazingly good deals we get during Christmas season are no joke. Prices have skyrocketed. So my dreams to own a big girl camera are on hold. I just can’t accept that I have to pay so much more. As my friend CeCe recommended, President’s Day is right around the corner. So I will wait. While my heart cries, while my eyes burn, while my insides ache for a big girl camera. (Gosh, I’m dramatic).

Let’s move on from the dramatics.

I guess, in all the sadness, I forgot to ask Sean to take a picture of me. So in blogger fashion, I checked to see if the bathroom had a full length mirror and snapped away. The stupid things I do for this blog. Are you wondering why there is a toilet behind me? By looking at this picture one would think that when you use the bathroom in this restaurant, you could actually watch yourself. You can.

Sean was not kidding when he said this restaurant was nice. I mean, he thinks McDonalds is nice. Hmm, well, I think McDonalds is nice too. Any who, the restaurant had a great ambience and our food was incredible! Too bad my phone could not truly capture it. Beggars can’t be choosers. Well, at least that is what I’m told.

And now is when I apologize for these dark pictures. I'm sorry. I don't think my blog is good for your eyes.

We had fun but I did not take any pictures of Sean because there was no point. It was too dark. So obviously if there aren't any pictures of Sean in the restaurant there couldn't be any of me ;).

Then on Saturday, I got the best news (of all news) in all the land. MY SISTER HAD HER BABY GIRL!!! If I told you that I cried for a good ten minutes when I got the picture of my niece, would you believe me? Well, believe me. I did. I actually was confused with why I was crying because I’ve never done that before. But here I was, staring at a picture of my niece, One Tree Hill on pause and I’m just crying uncontrollably. For ten minutes. I guess that is what they call happy tears.

Sean and I will head to the city on Thursday to meet my niece. I’ll share her name once my sister gives me the OK to share pictures of her on my blog. If she says no, I’ll cry, because she is the most adorable baby girl I have ever laid eyes on. I would say I am bias, but I’m not. She is the most adorable baby girl I have ever laid eyes on ;).
