It's My 2nd Favorite Day Today ♥

6 years ago, I was laying in my bed waiting for the clock to strike 1:43am.

I was waiting for it to be 1:43am because a few days prior my then guy friend told me that he was born at 1:43am.

When it turned 1:43am, I quickly dialed his number and yelled, “Happy Birthday!!”

The poor guy was sleeping. This should have been his first warning that he was getting involved with a crazy but I guess he knew it was his own fault for telling me the time he was born.

In his sleeping daze, I convinced him that yeah, we should be boyfriend and girlfriend on the most cliché day in love’s history.

6 years later -
We are married.
We are lovers.
We are best friends.

He’s my shopping partner even when he would rather chew glass. He’s my food tester when the recipe turns out horrible. He’s my gym partner pushing me to not do girly push-ups.
He’s pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Yeah, there are days when I think that my hands will look very lovely squeezing his throat but I also know that there are days when he wishes he could take my tongue and flush it down the toilet.

Despite it all, I’ve never know a love like this. And this is why, I’m happy I put on my big girl pants and asked him to be my man on 2.14.2007. Best decision I ever made. Well, the heels I bought last month was the best decision I ever made but no need to mention that on our dating anniversary post.

Maybe next year we’ll celebrate with a baby. Or not.
