yeah, you know. honesty is the best policy.

IMG_1510
We have a coin jar that sits in our guest room that we throw our extra coins in.
When we reach a certain level we both guess how much we think is in it. The idea is that the person who guesses closest to the amount in the jar gets to decide what we will buy with our "newfound riches".

Since I'm not working (seems like I like to point that out often, we know Faith, we know!) I have all this extra time and have strongly considered counting up the coins while Sean is at work.
I haven't decided whether I'll do it or not.

Nah, marriage is all about honesty. Besides I'm the wife even if he does win I'll still decide what we use our riches on. Win, win.
Glad I made that honest decision. Extra time for Netflix ;).

  1. LOL! I love the idea of making a game out of guessing the amount in the jar. We recently got an awesome Amazon gift certificate with a bunch of coins we'd saved up.

That's a really cool idea though! Mayhap I shall try that...with err...my brothers. Somehow I feel like they would cheat and count the jar when I'm not home though >_>

  11. HAHA @ get your way anyway. Well that's how it ought to be ;) I have a piggy bank for Dominic and my dad and I dump coins in it whenever we have spare change. When I fill it up I'll cash it in and put it in his savings account and start over again.

  14. ha ha I love how it comes down to your decision, seems a lot of marriages are like that, the wife ultimately decides!!

I like this change jar idea. we should do that with ours, currently it's purpose is to provide tips for the pizza delivery guy ;)

  22. LOL! Instead of counting, you can just spend time deciding what you guys are going to do with it. :) And Netflix is awesome for sure!!!
