The power of flowers & a really, really good day

OK, so I lied. Here I am blogging TWO times this week.
To be honest, I don't really have much to say but a few days ago I left for work and this was just a green bush.

Imagine my surprise when I got home that evening and this was there.

I don't know what it is about flowers but I shrieked and immediately took a picture with my phone and shared on Instagram, because that's what we do in this day and age. Because we all know that if it is not on Instagram it is quite possible that you simply imagined it.

When I got home today I admired them again (so hard not to) and realized that since I have no idea what these are since the previous owners planted it, I also have no idea how long they will last; so I ran upstairs and grabbed my camera and began to snap away.

Can I just say that today was such a great day. The weather was my favorite. I was in high spirits. I got an amazing, amazing compliment from one of the BIG guys at my job and he made sure my supervisor and manager knew. These flowers are beautiful.

  2. What a gorgeous flower! The color is so vibrant! I do NOT have a green thumb, so knowing me, I'd kill them before it bloomed! So glad you had a happy surprise waiting for you!

  5. I love the beautiful purple color! Way to go on your work accomplishment, too! By the way, I'm writing a post about summer baby shower ideas, and am hoping to use the "catch of the day" goldfish picture from your post about Colleen's shower. My editor loved that idea! :)
