Goodwill & red roses.

It was just this year that I actually decided to check out a Goodwill. Various bloggers that I followed would share their Goodwill finds and I would just stare at the screen in disbelief because some of the deals were just too good. I'm not exactly what one would call a patient shopper so I decided that it wasn't for me.

Earlier this year, I gave it a shot and I found a gorgeous swan for one dollar and surprisingly I had seen similar going for $50 plus. To say I was thrilled does not completely explain it. But then, I didn't try it again until a few weeks ago when my co-worker Margaret asked me to go with her to Goodwill on our lunch break.

You all know my love for flowers, right? Well, I found the most perfect vase that I think I would ever, ever find and it was just $6.00!

When I got home and began to clean it, I saw on the bottom that the vase was made in Italy and that kind of made me think that this vase was legitimate, haha. I don't want to go too far and say that it is my find of my lifetime but it just might be. It is old, sturdy and looks like it has been through some tough times but I just love all the imperfections on it.

I have a feeling that my flowers are going to be the happiest they have ever been.

Happy Monday!

  2. That vase is beautiful!! I rarely go to goodwill (impatient, party of one), but need to check it out every once in a while.

  4. I am the same way when it comes to the Goodwill. I try and I try and I try.. to no avail. I think the coolest thing I've found was a giant metal basically brand new Tonka truck for Dominic for 5 bucks. Brand new their like 30-40 minimum. My mom always finds cool things though (she's also one of those people who finds cool stuff at garage sales, Estate sales, and Craigslist).

I love your vase. & those flowers are beautiful!
