A Little Curb Appeal

Today the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We decided to use it for our advantage since we've been trying to get the front of the house looking better for a few weeks, but because of the cold and non-stop rain we weren't able to.

Last Spring, we put in two new plants but they were only good for about 6 weeks. It was pitiful so we knew we had to pull them up and replace them with annual plants.

We headed to Lowe's today and picked up mulch, three new plants and some brick.

We are not at all handy but we are pretty proud of our hard work today! In a few weeks, I know it is going to be beautiful with all the flowers, etc.

Here are some before pictures:

Dead plants and tons of weeds! I can't frickin' stand weeds!

And our house number was painted white. Whoever thought up that plan was an idiot.

Here are the afters!

Our windows still need hardcore cleaning. Next weekend.

Look at how upset Fella looks that he can't enjoy the beautiful weather. Sorry buddy, you're an indoor cat and you will stay that way!

We deserved a great dinner after all the hard work so hubby grilled some steak and I roasted some broccoli and cooked yellow rice. Yummy in my tummy!

Productive weekend but I'm exhausted. Time to relax before Monday gets here!

P.S. Hope you all had fabulous weekends!

Looks good. We did some household clean up as well, even though the hubby did not get the grass cut.

You two did a good job. Yard work can be exhausting but it's rewarding.

I love what you did with the garden in the front The red bricks are a great idea makes the colors pop. Man I am struggling with our back yard. I got a few flowers at Home Depot but I still want to spruce it up some more. Great job!!!
