I am not the most tech savy when it comes to anything computer. It takes me forever to figure certain things out. So when an amazing blogger makes things easier in a way that even I can understand, I want to jump through the screen and give them a big hug. Maybe even a kiss if hubby would let me.
Aly of Analyze This just provided us all an easy way to watermark our photos.
The reason why is because there are some scary people on the Internet that will steal your pictures and pretend to be you. Why anyone would want to pretend to be me is beyond me, but hey, you never know.
Everyone knows, I share a ridiculous amount of pictures. Some of my family, a lot of hubby and tons of myself. I guess, it is time I started protecting all of us. Especially when we have kiddos. If I have to go through the discomfort for 9 months you best believe I don't want someone taking credit for it! I would jump through the screen and knock someone out. OK, kidding. But I would try voo-doo.
I wish I had gotten this tutorial before I started my picture vacation recap which I haven't shared yet because I'm too lazy and it is taking a lot of time. But since it will be broken up into a few posts, I will be able to watermark the others.
Like any normal person, I decided to edit and watermark one of our photos just to see how it would look. I think I can deal with it.
Do you watermark your photos? If not, think about it.
Great guide Faith, I think that the watermark looks awesome in my personal opinion I love the photo of you and Sean too!
ReplyDeletei've been meaning to start watermarking, I've just been lazy...it's an extra step and i didn't want to do it...but now i think i'm gonna start!
ReplyDelete@Matthew: Thank you!
ReplyDelete@Ruthy ann: yeah, the extra step is going to drive me insane so i just hope i can keep at it! but any picture that i really don't want anyone to steal, i will def. watermark :)
This is a great guide.. I really should be doing this. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAfter hearing Aly's story, I'm definitely going to start!
ReplyDeleteI just read about Becky's story yesterday and thought about doing a post just like this! We're on the same page! I'll definitely have to start doing this!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a great idea! I admit that I've never watermarked my own photos before and don't know whether I'll have the patience to start, though I know I probably should.
ReplyDeleteThanks Faith! I have often thought about watermarking my photos...but I guess I was just too lazy! Maybe I should start!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting that! I've thought about it and wanted to watermark them but I just didn't know how. It certainly seems easy enough...although it's one more step as you have to upload to a website first to add the text.
ReplyDeletegreat idea, faith! i think i'll start doing it too.
ReplyDeleteI've watermarked a few photos, but I'm so lazy and don't wanna take the extra step... especially when I'm uploading a lot of photos at once.
ReplyDeleteI've just started watermarking photographs. I don't watermark everything but definitely ones that I feel are my best work. Bah. People on the internet can be crazy!!
ReplyDeleteI really should do this, but I haven't yet. I didn't want to take the extra time! I don't think that looks bad at all.
ReplyDeleteYou are so smart for doing this, Faith. I still think the picture looks great, too. I really need to do this too....I just get so laaaazy!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a great idea!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea! I never think about watermarking my photos but you're right... it's so easy to steal someone else's pictures and pretend their your own. I think the watermark looks great!

Thanks for posting this and for the original blog post. I always watermark my photos, but I do it toward the bottom of the photo. I didn't even think about people cropping it off. you learn something new everyday :)
ReplyDeleteI don't watermark, I am certainly going to look into it now!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pic!! I ALWAYS watermark. I am SO afraid of someone taking photos of my little guy that I stopped posting them for a while.
ReplyDeleteI am totally on this page with The Mrs. If you can tell i watermark great time, all over the face, but few of my own pictures are not watermark because my face is shown in half, but when it comes to hubby and and AOI i watermark no matter what
