Watermarking Your Photos

I am not the most tech savy when it comes to anything computer. It takes me forever to figure certain things out. So when an amazing blogger makes things easier in a way that even I can understand, I want to jump through the screen and give them a big hug. Maybe even a kiss if hubby would let me.

Aly of Analyze This just provided us all an easy way to watermark our photos.

The reason why is because there are some scary people on the Internet that will steal your pictures and pretend to be you. Why anyone would want to pretend to be me is beyond me, but hey, you never know.

Everyone knows, I share a ridiculous amount of pictures. Some of my family, a lot of hubby and tons of myself. I guess, it is time I started protecting all of us. Especially when we have kiddos. If I have to go through the discomfort for 9 months you best believe I don't want someone taking credit for it! I would jump through the screen and knock someone out. OK, kidding. But I would try voo-doo.

I wish I had gotten this tutorial before I started my picture vacation recap which I haven't shared yet because I'm too lazy and it is taking a lot of time. But since it will be broken up into a few posts, I will be able to watermark the others.

Like any normal person, I decided to edit and watermark one of our photos just to see how it would look. I think I can deal with it.

Do you watermark your photos? If not, think about it.

  7. This is definitely a great idea! I admit that I've never watermarked my own photos before and don't know whether I'll have the patience to start, though I know I probably should.

  9. Thanks for posting that! I've thought about it and wanted to watermark them but I just didn't know how. It certainly seems easy enough...although it's one more step as you have to upload to a website first to add the text.
