Fella Baby

My cat was feeling a little unloved and asked me to post about him today. He told me he is getting pissed of all the love Izabella is getting and doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. He said, "she isn't even all that cute and makes all sorts of scratches on the hardwood floors."

I don't understand where the jealousy is stemming from.

I guess, he doesn’t realize that he will always be my number one fur baby.

The first baby that hubs and I got together.

The first baby that I have ever had.

He doesn’t understand how much I want him to love Izabella and not stay in the basement all pissed that there is a dog upstairs.

I think he does know that I think he is hilarious because when he is feeling feisty he completely terrorizes Izabella with the cat swinging door. Izabella would run up to the door and Fella would continuously hit the swinging cat door in Izabella’s face. Poor Izabella just stands there hoping that Fella would come out and play with her.

Fella, I must tell you to stop hissing at Izabella. It is scary. You are much nicer than that.

And whilst I am not missing your fur all over the floor and chairs, I have to tell you that I miss you sleeping on my belly while I watch television.

I miss your snoring and the fact that you sleep with one eye open. Never thought I would miss that spookiness but I do.

I know you feel betrayed but if you would only give Izabella a chance you will see that mom and dad just wanted you to have a buddy to play with.

So get over it and show Izy who’s boss.

  1. oh my gosh, Fella is so adorable! I think boy cats are just very territorial when it comes to their mommies. Our first fur baby, Zeppelin, was very attached to me and didn't like when anyone else laid with me. He passed away 5 years ago, but 2 years ago we got our little boy, Einstein, and he thinks he's my protector. He's so adorable the way he guards me and beats up the other kitties if I have to yell at them.

  2. Aww I hope they start getting more used to each other soon. Jaq still likes to give Lucy a few punches every once in awhile just for the heck of it & the dog will just stand there stunned. Then they go sit together and look out the window and it is so freaking cute I think my heart will explode.

  3. our cat and dog have jealous issues and fit for our attention. I do feel like our cat gets the raw end of the deal because our dog does get more attention!

  12. I love this post! Of course! He is so cute. Don't you love your animals personalities? Zac and I will be getting a dog soon and we are so excited. I hope Frank doesn't get jealous. He's so spoiled! He's our only child. If we leave him for a few days he just cuddles us all day. He gets mad if we don't play with him enough. He is the best cat! :) Fella is adorable!!!

  15. Awwww, I have the same problem with my kitty and dog. My cat was also first. But my cat goes back even further. She was my kitten when I was a bachelorette. Now married, moved in with hubby and a dog later she is not pleased. She hisses and slaps the dog often. Poor little doggie just wants to play and most times thinks the cat is playing. So sad my super serious kitty isn't even being taken seriously :D
