Silent Readers, This One Is For You ♥

I often wonder about silent readers. I wonder who you are, what you do, why you read my blog, etc.

I wonder because I am what you would call an “I’m reading your blog and you will know it” reader. Why? I'm not entirely sure. I do know that I love to engage with a blogger that I feel has something in common with me. But then again, there are also bloggers that I follow that I have nothing in common with, but I enjoy the way they write, take pictures, dress, etc.

I’m serious, every blog that I have ever followed has at least one comment from me. It is my way of letting that blogger know that I follow them because I enjoy their blog. But I also notice that when I leave several comments and get no interaction back, I become a silent reader.

So I wonder if some of my silent readers feel/felt that I have not made an effort in interacting with them when they made an attempt to interact with me. Or maybe some people do not like to join the conversation because they do not feel they have anything extra to add. Or maybe the whole "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" is working in my favor. Let’s hope that is not the case ;).

Getting off track here.

Any who, all of this to say that I really would like to know who’s reading. So if you are a silent reader and have never left a comment, jump out the bushes and scare me with a hello. I just might hop on over to your space and violate you with comments/emails.

    i'v left about 2 or 3 comments but read every post.

    Your personality is so warm and bubbly and your love with your hubs is what word to use to describe now?

    Something very refreshing about seeing an update from you.

    i was actually a silent reader on your blog, sometimes it takes me a while to feel like i can comment, however i feel silly for thinking that way because you have become one of my favorite bloggers because you are so kind and funny!

    I leave comments usually ... it all depends where I'm reading. If I'm reading at my computer, I leave a comment because it is easy. If I'm reading on my phone, I usually don't because it is just so hard!

    I've wondered the same thing! I know I have started becoming a silent reader on some blogs I love bc I usually only read during down time at work or lunch which makes it hard to comment bc I have to do so on my phone (like now). Have a great weekend!

    oh i think i must have left a comment at least before..but why do i read your blog?, there is something so warm and alive about your personality and you are easily one of my favorite bloggers because you are like a breath of sunshine and your posts usually make me smile AND i love that you are so in love with your husband...

    I was, as you say a silent reader for a whole year. Just stalking everyones blogs. Until I created my own. And I also don't post comments anymore if I don't get a response after a few comments, I understand people are busy.. but really. It takes 2 seconds to reply THANKS! :)

    I confess I am a silent reader. Although, I tend to day I live in lurkdom land. I enjoy your blog and I comment infrequently on blogs because rarely do have anything to say outside of what has already been said. Crazy, but so true. Although I have a blog, it never bothers me to get any comments and although I do try to comment to any comments, sometimes my time doesn't allow me to. Okay, I am rambling.     I, too, am a silent reader. HAHAHAH Yeah right! And I'm with ya, I would love for everyone to comment, I love the interaction. I am a silent reader on alot of really big fashion blogs though, just because I feel like when someone has over 100 comments they probably won't read or respond to mine. I may be wrong though.

    I love this idea Faith and seeing people who are silent readers coming out of the woodwork and saying hi is encouraging me to do the same. Your blog is wonderful and you and your family is wonderful so that's why I love interacting with you but I can understand that some people may not have the time for lengthy comments and prefer to read instead, that's why it's awesome to see them all coming out and speaking about their love for this blog!

    I'm like you. I always comment and love to engage with my fellow bloggers. If I visit a blog and never get comments in return, I will usually stop commenting and even bothering to read their blog.

    i don't have a blog and don't tend to comment on many of them... b/c its just as you said! i comment and nothing in return. makes me feel awkward. lol

    anyway - i follow you b/c you're real! AND b/c you've posted some amazing recipes! (please post more?) our favorite is your tuscan pesto chicken (i think thats what you called it?) cream cheese, pesto, diced tomatoes... AMAZING!!! i make it often. :)

    ok...I'll admit...I'm one of those silent readers! I don't know why I don't comment...I love reading your blog and I'm actually seriously thinking about starting one...just haven't gotten up the nerve to do it yet...so for now on, I'll make more of a effort to comment on your future posts!

    I think the main reason I do not comment is because I don't have a blog of my own. That's not a real excuse, but its my excuse :) Anyway, I enjoy your personality and your outfits so I keep coming back. I'll try to step out of my box and comment more.

    I am a silent reader. I have read all of your posts since I started following you several months ago. I love seeing fellow interracial couples and I think that's why I relate to you. I started reading your blog a while back and you even inspired me to have my own blog, where you graciously posted often, but I am so much better at reading than writing.     I was a silent reader of your blog for over a year. I swear I love every post and just want to comment on all of them :)...oh wait, I do that anyway.

    I do engage those blogs that comment more than the ones who don't.

    i have wondered the same thing about some "silent readers" on my blog. i try to leave comments on most i read, but there are a few who i've stopped commenting after i haven't gotten a response from the blogger. you, however ALWAYS respond and are so personable. :)

    I could have written this post, lol. I ALWAYS wonder who my silent readers are, are they really reading? why do they stick around? I'm like you, even though I read more than I comment, I try and leave a comment every once and awhile to let the blogger know I enjoy & read their blog.

    My theory is some people just don't feel comfortable commenting on blogs, especially if they don't have one of their own.

    I sometimes don't comment on all your posts, I guess because sometimes I just don't know what to say. Also, I tend to check out your blog and Brittany's blog and read about 10 posts in one sitting! :) Being in school full time and working full time has my mind on other things. I don't even have time to blog myself anymore. Hence, why I have no posts lately and sometimes your blog blows up with three of my comments :) I think I found you through Brittany and thought oh she's a newlywed too. That was around the time I was a newlywed! You two are the only one's that continued to follow me and comment so that I did know you still followed me. Even though I don't post all the time you two are always there. Which is so awesome to me. I wonder how many silent readers I have. Since I changed my blog name and url in the past I lost all my followers. Now that I'm vegetarian I need to find a new following! I am actually pretty excited to have a break from school so that I can hopefully make some more blog posts. I may not read every single post you write but I am always thinking of you! :) I'd like to incorporate some style into my blog, but these days lets face it I don't have much style! ;) Sorry for the long post..I blame it on you! :) I may not be the first person to comment either and I'm usually always days behind but just know I'm thinking of you and appreciate you!     you definitely know I am NOT a silent reader, but I do want to thank you for always leaving comments on my blog!! I know I am mainly a food blog but I really enjoy your comments and emails!!
