After reading yesterday's post, Carlee sent me this email:
I laughed for 5 minutes straight. It is great to know that I'm not the only one who has to deal with seeing their favorite foods go down their men's throats. And that I'm not the only one who hides food from their significant other.
So I tried to get into Downtown Abbey because I heard so many good things about it in blog land. I.JUST.CAN’T.GET.INTO.IT. I guess I’m not as cool as I once thought I was. Maybe I have to try again but without blogging this time. That could have been it. I'm not a great multi-tasker.
My sister sent me a text politely asking me not to recommend Noa’s name. Ooops. My bad. I didn't know I had. But just that it's out in the blog universe, don’t name your child Noa, mmmkay. Dead serious.
I’ve made plans with said sister for the month of March just so I can snuggle with my niece. She is getting cuter and cuter with each picture. I mean, seriously?! She already has her "amused but not" face down. I've been working on mine for 30 years and she has it down in 3 weeks!
It seems that now when I'm shopping I have to see if there is anything that my niece might want. Yes, she wants them. She just doesn't know it yet. Good thing she has an aunt who knows.
I’m going to get a little mean girl on this part. Some advice for bloggers who want more visitors on their blog. DON’T, I repeat, DON’T comment on someone's post:
“So cute. Come visit my blog. And maybe we can follow each other??? xoxo.”
The problem with that is sometimes the post is not actually cute and if you had actually read it you would know that the blogger’s post is about a beloved person in their life that just passed away. Most likely you will not be getting a visit or a follow, so just stop. As my friend Kathy would say, “Rude to my life”.
It seems a few of you thought I was going to Montreal this weekend. I wish. But in exactly two weeks, I’ll get to pretend I’m a big shot photographer with my big girl camera, until I see my pictures of course.
February 14th is a big day in our household. Sean’s birthday and our dating anniversary. I like to say that Sean got the best birthday gift that day. I think he would say, biggest headache, but who listens to him anyway.
If you like this post, stilettos and ice cream, maybe we can follow each other??? ;)
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! xoxo ♥

your little niece is soooo adorable! Love that idea to hide food in the tampon box too hahaha
ReplyDeleteLOOK at those SHOES. Oh my gosh.
ReplyDeleteShe is precious & I can't wait to see the outfits her Aunt Faith gets her.
Have a good weekend!!!
Ok so many things that I just laughed at! But first how adorable is little Noa!! Seriously! I just love that name ever though you totally aren't endorsing it ;). I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeletethe food hiding is so funny and i agree, i hate it when people ask to follow.
ReplyDeleteShe really is so freaking cute you can't help but smile at that little face!!!!
ReplyDeleteOur dating anniversary is valentines day too and other halfs bday is a week later lol
Excellent hiding place :) xx
LMFAO! I love the hiding it in a Tampon box. Your niece is SO cute, even I want to hold and hug her <3 Have a great weekend Faith!
ReplyDeleteLast line is my favorite! haha
ReplyDeleteYour niece is a doll!!!! And you are the best aunt ever to know what she wants ;) I have too many nieces/nephews that I will go broke with all the cuteness I see that I know they will "want". ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally laughed at the last line AND the first photo :D
I HATE when people leave comments like that and it's clear they haven't paid any attention to your content at all. Like...what!?
ReplyDeleteYour niece is so darn adorable and already a burgeoning fashionista! You're the best aunt :)
Have a wonderful weekend Faith!
I could t get into Downtown Abbey either. I guess we can start our own "cool kids" club!
ReplyDeleteYour niece...precious! I mean seriously! I won't be naming my daughter (if I have one) "Noa" but I do think its a beautiful name!
Cute post! Come follow me and maybe we can follow each other! Bwahaha!
Have a great weekend!
haha! Definitely "Rude to my life"! Noa is so freaking cute!! Found something you'd LOVE...and you need to get her...I'll e-mail ya.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for your upcoming plans! February is going to be so fun for ya!!
love that photo, can't believe she is already 3 weeks, my my.
ReplyDeletecute shoes aunt knows best :)
OMG. Sean is totally going to be like "why did Faith put tampons in the freezer?" LOL!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh. And LOL at the xoxo!!! Muahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhat?! You can't get into "Downtown" Abbey?
ReplyDeleteUnsubscribe.
Hahaha!
You are cool. ;)
this picture is too funny...BUT it is genius, i am so copying this idea....
ReplyDeleteThe Tampon box is PERFECT! Love it. As for comments-I have never, ever, said come follow me or check out my giveaway or anything. I'm not a salesman! Your niece is too cute. She looks like she knows something we don't!! Could an itty bitty baby like that actually be thinking something intellectual? If so, she's doing it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI seriously hate when people leave comments like that. Drives me nuts. A long time ago I got over "needing" tons of followers - and now I just write and blog for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my heart - your niece is so stinkin' precious!!!
Hehe, I love that you posted the tampon box. But it is seriously so brilliant.
ReplyDeleteNoa is seriously such a doll! I promise I won't steal her name for my little one. :)
You sound like my sister with all the auntie gift-buying. She told me every time she goes into a store she has to look at baby items, and usually buys something. And our girl isn't even here yet! haha.
Have a great weekend, girlie!
I hate when people make those comments too, so annoying. I'll admit I'm also a little tired of ALL the link ups that seem to be going on. And the amount of sponsorship on blogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you sister, I hate comments from people that make it obvious that they never bothered to read the post, it's just plain rude and disrespectful to the blogger. I don't think you're being mean telling them to at least be considerate when leaving comments in all honesty so good on you.
ReplyDeleteThat tampon box idea to hide food is utter genius, you'd never get caught with it in a million years, it's perfect! I knew you weren't going away this weekend, well more assumed but that's good because the longer it takes for it to come the better.
You are definitely not the only one who hides food from your man! I have gotten to where I just straight up tell Garrett, DO NOT eat this! If you aren't cool for not liking Downtown Abbey, I am way not cool because I don't even know what that is. A book? Your niece is so so adorable! And you are right, she has the face down! Those little leopard shoes are so cute and, of course she needs them! ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha I don't like when bloggers leave a comment like, "Cute blog, come visit mine..." I think if someone actually takes the time to read about me then that's one thing but don't just leave a comment like that. I can't believe Seans bday is the 14th, and it's y'all's anniversary, AND it's Valentine's! So busy and fun! Hope you have a great weekend Faith!
Lol, shutup @ the last part. I don't like stilettos anymore so does that mean....? lol
ReplyDeleteYour niece is sooooo adorable and so are the shoes you bought her! I feel like shopping for girls are hard because there is so much cuteness to choose from. Sigh. But I still want a girl. Thanks for making my womb itch!
Her name is cute, no copying here. I'm already locked in to a name my hubby likes, though I like the name Parker.
Our 3rd year of marriage, my hubby stole my food at midnight that I was planning to take for lunch the next day. He went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at midnight and ate MY leftovers from a restaurant bc he didn't like his. TF?!? Yeah, that's never happened again. Now, he plays like he will but won't dare, lol.
I cannot get over how adorable your niece is!!!!!! That picture is priceless.
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome that Sean's birthday is Valentine's Day. Such a cute day to be born :)
Hahah I actually might just copy that tampon idea!
ReplyDeleteOh & I hate downtown ABBY... but dont tell anyone.
ReplyDeleteI like this post... It's a good thing we already follow each other. ;) your niece is sooooo presh.
ReplyDeleteOh that lil bitty is SOOOO ADORABLE!!!! I want to snack on her. Is she single? I know a great almost 8 month old....if she's into older guys.
ReplyDeletePS: that's one of my commenter pet peeves!!! I mark them as spam
hahaha, yes you are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteand your little niece is so cute, im dying! ah love it.

ReplyDeleteand hahahah that tampon box idea is brilliant. i will try that sometime!
that first picture is too funny! and your niece is SO adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I were laughing about the line that a comedian had about how to insure that a robber wouldn't take something......just put said item in a box of tampons! And before I forget, your niece is adorable!! What a cutey! And those shoes....wish I was a hip baby!
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on the desperate "let's follow each other crap"...if you have to beg I don't even wanna visit your blog. Mean but true. Ahhhhhh Faith! Your niece is a DOLL!! Seriously, just wanna squeeze her precious face!

ReplyDeleteTampons! So cute! Follow me back? hahah... just kidding! I completely agree with you on those comments.
ReplyDeleteI love dating anniversaries- how fun that you guys get to celebrate two things! <3
ohmygosh, hiding the food in the tampon box is hilarious - i love it! made me laugh! i couldn't agree more with the "i followed you, now you follow me" comments. i once got an "awesome - follow me back when you get a chance!" on a post about some very deep and heartbreaking news. i was like, yeah, you definitely read one word of the post. lol.
ReplyDeleteyour neice is adorable!!
have a wonderful day. <3<3
maria
LOL as usual... your stream of thoughts give me a good chuckle. "maybe we can follow each other"... "rude to my life" - all things that gave me the most chuckles!
ReplyDeletehaha 2nd last line, BURN! I hate when people do that too! ugh.
ReplyDeleteK your niece is so freakin cute, she's so tiny!!!! she makes me wish my baby was here RIGHT NOW!!
the food hidden in the tampon box is genius. sadly jay has to hide food from me, not vice versa!
Hahah those are always the weirdest comments! "Love your blog! So fun!" after just blogging about a breakup, terrible day, etc...SO FUN!
ReplyDeleteBut oh my goodness! Noa really does have that look down already. Impressive!
lol i love the tampon box :) That would definitely work!
ReplyDeleteAnd Noa is the cutest!! Totally stealing that name for my unborn baby ;) But seriously she is adorable!!!
{love jenny xoxo}
OMG Noa is the cutest! So so precious!! Love her lil pink outfit, and those cute lil shoes you got her. And that first picture... I died!!!!
