For a small donation of $5.00, we were able to view inside the Notre-Dame Basilica where Celine Dion was married. It was stunning! These pictures do not do it any justice.
I always feel that whenever I enter a church this sense of peace comes over me, even when it's not to attend a service. This time was no different. If you're ever in Montreal go to Old Montreal and visit Notre-Dame Basilica. Trust me, you have to see it in real life.

These are beautiful! I'm not Catholic but appreciate the gorgeous stained glass windows! Thats a cool fact that Celine Dion was married there! I'm glad you got to take pictures- we visited Cathedral Basilica (sp?) in Paris and they would NOT let us take pics inside.
ReplyDeleteNotre Dame is one of my favorite churches in the world! I was worried the re-cap was going to end without a stop here, so kind of glad that there is more. I do think your camera is doing the church justice...plus I love your artistic twist on the photos. The different colored votive candles at the slant was my fave. Could totally see that as a cover photo for FB.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning space the Notre-Dame Basilica is - I've been quite a few times and am awestruck every time!
