I know that many of you can’t wait for this recap to be over. Trust me, I can’t wait either. I just know that if I don’t do it immediately after the trip I never will. I mean, just look at that Disneyland trip I took last year. Better now than never. Besides, I’m sure 85 year old Faith wants to see those hookah pictures and laugh.
We woke up a tad bit late this day so we requested a late checkout for 1 pm. I don’t know what one would do without the option of a later checkout.
When we were finally out of the hotel, the girls and I were craving some more poutine. Norina did some research and found this restaurant that served all different types of poutine. Meaning that not only were you getting the fries, gravy and cheese but you had the option of chicken, pepperoni, or whatever you wanted thrown on top. The guys did not want poutine (I guess they had, had enough all weekend) so we decided we would just get take out and then later go for a sit down lunch for the guys.
Back to the poutine, it was amazing. I stuffed my face with the poutine and shared a tiny bit with Sean. Here are some pictures I took of the restaurant while I waited for my take out. I didn’t feel so strange because there was this guy who was doing the same thing. I bet he is a blogger too ;).
After we got our orders we drove to Old Montreal while we happily munched on our poutine.
We did some sight seeing once we got to Old Montreal.
When the guys got hungry we stopped to eat at Brasseurs. I wish I were hungrier because the food was delicious. Of course, I wasn't too hungry for dessert and garlic bread covered in cheese.
Unfortunately, I'm not done yet. I still have some more sight seeing pictures to share plus our visit to the most gorgeous cathedral I’ve ever been inside of. So at most there will be two more recap posts and then it's back to regular programming and answering those questions y'all asked me last week!
Have fabulous weekends! ♥

What better way to blog, than to blog about a vacation. Something to remember and look back on and share with others.

ReplyDeleteOMG. I've only had poutine once, but I LOVED it. I need more of it in my life. Like right this second. :)
ReplyDeleteI am officially hungry now. Just not for poutine. ;)
ReplyDeleteFaith, don't think that, these posts are going to be great in the future because you'll be able to look at them and remember exactly how everything went and we all love reading about it anyway, I've seen no complaints here at least, it's been wonderful to see these photos of what Montreal offers.
ReplyDeleteIt's official. I will be begging my husband for the next 1,278 weeks to go to Montreal. And, the pics of the adult refreshments have me thirsting for one (it's only 10:15AM, probably not a responsible idea). Lastly, I love that you enjoy the fries with gravy so much. That was a staple for me growing up. I had no idea there was an actual name to it!
ReplyDeletefaith, your photos are beautiful (and making me hungry)! happy weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd again AMAZING photographs!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you've taken a secret professional photography course while you were in Montreal, ha!!!
Gorgeous xx

Wow you look like you had a great time! I would love to get to Montreal. I live in New York and think the cheap $1.99 bus (which is really about $15.00) goes there. Seems like it would be a really fun trip and closer then Europe.

aren't late checkouts the best. i can't stand when hotels have checkout times around 10. it takes away from the whole vacation/relaxing experience.
ReplyDeleteyour photos are incredible and the food - amazing!!
i'm so glad you had an amazing trip! i lol at "85-year-old faith" looking at the hookah pics. :)
have a wonderful monday xoxo

Enjoying the recap! Your pics are really good (making me hungry too :)).
ReplyDeleteI always feel a little weird when I'm out somewhere and I whip out my huge-ish camera and take pictures of things like an awaning. It's definitely better when someone else is doing it with you, lol!
ReplyDeleteLook at you getting all brave and taking pics of strangers in restaurants! I am always scared to do that... afraid I'll get caught lol!! Your photos are beautiful! Loving the food photos, of course lol :) What settings are you using to get such great shots inside restaurants?
