7 Things.

1. The consensus is to go to Waffle House after a long night of drinking.
Duly noted.
That just means that I won't be going ever again.
My belly deserves fresh strawberries and fat waffles.

2. I'm so happy Alex and Sierra won X-Factor. I hope they have many years of success, get married,
stay happily married and have lots of babies!

If you have no idea who they are watch this performance.
This is one of my favorite songs right now and I think they did a great job on it.
I'm the kind of person that when I find a song I like I play it like 100 times and sing along with it.
Sean hates it. I can't stop; won't stop.
I did the same with Katy Perry's "Roar".
I had that song on repeat, you know, working my vocals and all.
If Sean didn't really love me and my singing voice I'll be in a dumpster somewhere.

3. I've been asked several times how I dine out all the time and stay trim.
I don't exactly consider myself "trim" but I'm thinking that I'll have to share that on a separate post.

4. Funny that I wrote that because as I'm typing this post I'm eating a HEATH mini bar and seriously considering another.
Good thing they're minis.
I guess it defeats the purpose if you have ten in one sitting?

5. I like searching for new recipes but decided that I wanted to remake something I shared on the blog and I'm so glad I did.
I forgot just how delicious this meal is!

6. I saw Lone Survivor last weekend.
I really went to see it because Christelle told me that Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights is in it.
I'm happy to report he is still as beautiful as ever.
Oh and the movie was really, really good.
I cried a few times but that is to be expected from me.
Sean laughed at me and that is to be expected from him.

7. The time frame (middle of February) that I gave myself to find a job in my field is going to be running out shortly.
So, if I don't have anything by that time I'll most likely be your server the next time you visit a restaurant.
I just can't sit at home and watch Netflix for much longer, my sanity wasn't that great to begin with.
And my own money would be nice. You know, that way I can buy clothes in secret and all ;).
I also need to spend time talking to people regardless of how great listeners Izabella and Fella are.

Have fabulous weekends!

P.S. I wished you a fabulous weekend because Sean and I are traveling tomorrow to, yes, you guessed it with his parents.
See y'all sometime next week.

  1. I rarely ever watch the singing competitions, but when I get home later I'll have to check them out (since you blogged about it and all).

I assume you do what most of America who are weight conscious do. Skip meals so you can have more calories later LOL. Honestly, if I know I'm going out to eat and I know it's going to be fattening and calorie loaded (it always is). I just will skip meals or I will just eat half the meal if I did eat earlier. I'm not saying it's the healthiest way, it's just how I keep my calories in check - LOL.

I think having a little side job while you wait on something really want is an excellent idea. I know you don't probably WANT to, but it may just get you out of the house and meeting more people- etc.

  2. Katy Perry's whole cd has been on repeat the past few months for me, too (especially Roar)...that and Lorde! I get stuck on certain songs until I can sing every word perfectly, haha. :)

Mr. Tim Riggins sure did look good all macho and ripped in that movie!! It was a great movie..really want to read the book now.

I'm now adding that recipe to my list of things to try and cook this year...SOUNDS DELISH! Thanks for sharing, Faith. Have fun travelling!

  3. Safe travels!

Lol @ eating a mini heath bar. They are soooo good. I totally understand.

For the job, just have faith and it'll come. If by the middle of February you still don't have anything, I think you should start working on the cute babies you are sure to have! :-)...kidding...kinda :-D

  4. Oh honey I'm with ya on Alex and Sierra- a total FAN and been following them since the premiere! Such a beautiful love story of talented young dreamers! Did you know they tried out for Idol last year? He made it to Hollywood week and she was axed at the first audition. What an inspiration!

....anyways, Thank you for visiting and hope to see you back for my latest on Pantone’s pick for color of the year!

  7. I get exactly the same thing about staying trim and going out eating and drinking so much (which basically is what my blog is about). I just say that when I'm not out, I'm normally eating rabbit food for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And gyming too of course...

  9. I cried on Lone Survivor too. That movie was good but just so sad. Waffle House-we don't have one but I've been a few times and it was good. Oh the job market must be rough!! I hope you make your cut off. Vegas?

  10. I have heard such great things about Lone Survivor but I am afraid to go see it because I assume that it is somewhat sad! I cannot watch sad movies in front of anyone because I am such a crier. And a big crier. I was the same way with Roar, still love that song! Yep, I want to know how you stay thin when you eat out alot too! I need to learn that secret. I hope it's not working out. It's working out isn't it? Hope you had a great weekend Faith!

  11. Have a great trip! And I fully relate on the mini candy bars. I always eat what ends up equaling two full sized!

  12. You do stay super slim and trim...I'm anxious to hear your secret. Heath Bars are my favorite :). And the minis make you feel like you can eat 8 of them and it's cool...cause they're just miniatures!

  13. Thank goodness you nixed the Waffle House from your restaurant list!!
Please share your slim and trim secrets.

  14. I've heard great things about Lone Survivor, but idk if I want to see it that badly. :/

And I totally support you in finding a job to hold you over while you look for your real job. You can only entertain yourself so much ya know. Plus I totally support buying clothes in secret. ;)

  15. I'm so glad they won, among all the contestants they were my favorite - Simone must have the I-knew-they-won-win-the-moment-they-walked-in-grin on his face.

Have a great weekend with the parents :)

  16. I'm addicted to netflix too!!...and hulu! :o
There's no shame is dining out...whatever you're doing to stay trim...it's totally working.
I really want to go see Lone Survivor. Though I can't even remember the last time I went to the movies so this could be interesting!
Praying a job opportunity opens up for you soon!! Have a great weekend!

  22. I love posts written like this because I love lists! :) I think if that time in February comes and you're still job searching, you should work somewhere really fun and where you could get a good discount on clothes or jewelry or something fun like that!!

Have an amazing weekend, Faith! We got even more snow here last night, and I think I'll be snowbound for much of mine :)

  23. love this post and your "7 things".
i didn't watch x-factor but have seen several clips of alex and sierra performing and they are cute.
you can feel the love whenever they gaze into each others eyes.
*sigh...to have a love like theirs.

best of luck on your job search!
    don't get discouraged!
jeremiah 29:11...all in due time :)

  24. But I adore her faux wrap dress! I've been going "wrap dress crazy" adding them to my cart, only to dream of owning them. Le sigh...

You and I are a lot of alike. I murder songs! Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball got hacked to pieces! And no, I won't apologize!

I wanna see Jack Ryan...only for Chris Pine. My friend told me that he wasn't going to have me sit next to him ogling over Chris since he has to be the one to hear it. I'll just suggest Lone Survivor and ogle over other actors :D

...and I'm pretty sure Izabella and Fella loves listening to you. Midway through a convo with Bailey, he checks out. Count yourself lucky!

Hope you had a great weekend!

  25. I don't watching singing (or dancing for that matter) shows but love the joy and inspiration people who do gain from them.

I think some people are just blessed with amazing genes and metabolisms (like all those fashion bloggers who are stick thin but instagram brunches repeatedly, one more fabulous than the last!)
I hope you have a great weekend traveling with Sean's parents!! xo

  26. my friend was just telling me about lone survivor! i really want to see it! yum, heath is awesome...i love getting the heath bits and sprinkling them on ice cream (and then eating the rest of the bag in one sitting)!
