Meet Walker.

So, if you didn't know Sean is very, very persistent. It's equally great and annoying. Maybe more annoying. For months, (or better yet, years!) Sean has been talking about getting a brother for Izabella. I was completely fine with Izy being an only dog-child but not Sean. He would be online searching for rescues in shelters everywhere for hours at a time. The location did not matter and he was willing to make the drive if there was potential for a dog to be a good fit for us.

The criteria was that the dog had to be a male pitbull (ever since we got Izabella we have a very big heart for pitbulls), good with dogs and cats since we have Fella our cat. Sean came close several times but then we'd get a call that the dog was adopted. Great for the dog, sad day for Sean.

To be honest, my heart wasn't in it 100% until we made a visit to the shelter. We found two dogs that we thought fit the bill and so we brought Izabella to meet both dogs. In the end, she chose the dog we would take home. No, seriously she did. We knew right away the dog she preferred and that's the dog we went with. I'm proud of my girl because she chose well! He's a great dog and is fitting in so nicely with us. He's rather stubborn but I feel with a little more time with us he'll know who the boss is in this house ;). Me of course! Ha.

  2. What a handsome fella! It was the best decision for us when we got a pup "brother" for Chloe: she still gets stubborn with sharing us and having her space, but I know they enjoy each other's company at home and when we travel! Enjoy!!!

  7. Awwww... he looks so sweet! My hubs is being pretty persistent about a dog (and he wants a Pit too)! I love dogs - but since we live in a condo, I'm not sure it's fair to have a bigger dog like that without a yard for it to run in. I may end up losing the battle though before it's over! :)

  10. Oh my gosh I love that Izy picked him. How cute!

Sammy would've preferred the single life, but well...Ryan had other ideas. ;) Thankfully Rory plowed her way into our lives, since otherwise, we might not have another dog.
