On Saturday was Sean’s birthday and our 8th dating anniversary. Although, we don’t necessarily celebrate our dating anniversary anymore we do still acknowledge it. It’s refreshing to reflect on how our relationship started and how far we both have come, together.
Since our dating anniversary also happens to fall on Sean’s birthday it has been a bit of a struggle for Sean not to get me anything from the very beginning of our relationship. As much as I would advise him that it is not right for anyone to buy someone else a gift on their birthday he would not listen. This year he did so much better and I was so proud and relieved. I don’t know but I would feel so guilty whenever he would give me a gift on his birthday. This year, he said he wanted us to get manicures and pedicures together, go out to dinner and then go bowling. He only wanted to get a pedicure but I have a feeling he wanted to do this that way I could still get pampered some way on our anniversary. It was a subtle way to do it and we both enjoyed ourselves. In fact, Sean wants us to do this together; monthly. No complaints there.
We went out to dinner and then bowling together. I only took two pictures of our day with my phone. I wanted to do better but of course I didn’t. We had a great time and I had so much fun bowling. I have never had as many strikes in my life as I had that night. Even Sean was impressed because one game I actually beat him! A record in the 8 years we've been together!
Anyway, at the end of January, Sean and I went to Vegas (our yearly trip) so I hope to get around to sharing pictures this week.
I really wanted to come up with a schedule for writing blog posts that way I hold myself accountable and am writing consistently this year but I haven’t gotten around to it. But it’s still early in the year so there’s still time.
I hope that you all had wonderful weekends spending it with the ones you love!
Have a fabulous week! ♥

Happy birthday Sean! I'm glad you two had a wonderful time together. I think sometimes it's fun to just put down the camera and just BE. Plus it's hard taking a bunch of pictures while someones attending to your toes and fingers ;) .

ReplyDeleteManis and Pedis sound perfect!! So nice of him to want to pamper you on his birthday to celebrate your dating anniversary.
ReplyDeleteWe do not really celebrate Valentine's Day even though it is our dating anniversary as well. I think it is because we do so many date nights throughout the year, ha!
