Weekend in Saratoga Springs.

A few weekends ago, Sean and I went to Saratoga Springs for a wedding reception. The actual wedding took place in the Dominican Republic and a reception was held in NY for family and friends who could not make the destination wedding.

It was a very laid back affair but unfortunately Sean did not make it very clear so at the last minute I had to find something in my closet that was somewhat "causal" and appropriate for a family affair.

Sean use to play rugby for the Saratoga Springs team so we have a lot of memories of time spent there during our early days of dating. Saratoga Springs is a gorgeous place and has the cutest boutique shops, great restaurants, the race track/racino and there is always plenty to do. My mom once said that if she ever left the city this was where she was leaving to.

I did not take many pictures at the reception because there was a lot of catching up and meeting the children of Sean's old team mates. It's crazy to me that when I met many of them in 2007 there were no children and now there are just so many!

After the reception we walked around and reminisced before heading back to our hotel to change outfits to go out in.

We met up with a few people who were at the reception at Boca Bar Bistro for some drinks. I loved the décor and feel of the restaurant and hope to go back in the future to try their food menu. After Boca Bar Bistro we headed to an old time favorite, Gaffneys, and proceeded to have such a great time.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures so the memories of this great night will hopefully be stored in my mind for a long time.

I hope you're all having a great week so far! ♥

  10. Hi Faith, those flowers are beautiful and I am loving that dress you're wearing. It's funny that the colors in your dress match that pretty horse. Did the two of you plan that? You took some really great pictures of the city, too.

    Have a great weekend... :)
