I'm back from a weekend getaway to Fort Launderdale and boy do I need to detox. I don't know why I have to be so extra and believe that calories don't count on the weekends or on vacations. They certainly do as I'm carrying more pounds than I did before we left. It took me less than 4 days to pack them on and will take me 4 weeks to get them off. Funny how that works.
Any who, moving along for the purpose of this post ... A few Sundays ago, Sean and I traveled to Connecticut (my sister moved from Queens earlier this year!) to see my nephew get dedicated at their church. It was truly a beautiful dedication.
Bonus points was their pastor allowing my niece to share a couple of her jokes to the congregation. "Why did the banana go to the hospital?" Pause. "Because it wasn't peeling well". "Why is six afraid of seven?" Pause. "Because seven, eight (ate) nine". At one point during his dedication, Rhys thought it would be a good idea to pull Noa's hair, she said (quite loudly) "owww Rhys that hurt!" and had us all in fits of laughter. It was ridiculously cute.
After the dedication we went to my sister’s home for a BBQ in celebration of my nephew's dedication. It was such a good time! We missed my dad (he's in Ghana) and my little sister Maryanna as she was ill that day so I can't wait for the next gathering.

I just want to eat him up.
A lot of bubble fun at the BBQ.
They have been the best of friends since they were in diapers.
So awesome to see how much they love each other.
Also can't believe how quickly they are growing. Time slow down, please!
Dress up time is the best time ♥
Sean made a joke when he took the picture below. As you can tell my sisters get him ;)
Hope you all had wonderful weekends and have great weeks! ♥

ReplyDeleteI love love LOVE that he let Noa tell jokes. That had to be the most adorable dedication ever. <3 How do they like Connecticut ?
His dedication bbq looks like it was a great time! I love that the pastor let her tell some jokes. How cute is that and it probably made her day. May God continue to bless your family <3 Beautifully Candid
