Our One Year Old Wedding Cake

We ate our one year old wedding cake a month late. We just got busy and kinda forgot.

I had big plans last year to make it a big deal. I would get all decked out in my wedding dress and imitate this pose. You know, the normal.

Well, reality hit me and I knew & know I wouldn't be able to fit in my wedding dress. I didn't even try to put it on because there is absolutely no reason to make me depressed when I want to eat cake.

I was a good wife and let Sean try it first, just in case. When I saw that he was swallowing a third bite I got brave and ate it. It was surprisingly good. I ate the whole piece.

Dear Wedding Cake,

Thanks for not poisoning us. We truly appreciate it.

  14. Awww, happy anniversary! And no, I don't think two days in a row of cake posts is a bad thing. You should do a week of cake posts. Cake Week. Yeah. That would be awesome.

  18. This made me laugh on multiple occasions. My favorite line? "because there is absolutely no reason to make me depressed when I want to eat cake." BAHAHA!!

  19. No, cake is always a good thing!! And I'm also loving the fact that you wanted to put you dress on and eat the cake...because I was hoping that was normal as well:)

  20. awww...this is nice and I'm glad to hear it wasn't contaminated a year later. Me, I was too scared to do that. The people that run the reception hall gave the cake top to my parents and I told them to keep it. By the time we came back from our honeymoon, my dad was still eating off that cake. LOL
